"Regardless of the winner, the election will result in a rotating schedule of previously available activities (Southsun Survival, Sanctum Sprint, Crab Toss, and Keg Brawl) as well as fractal versions of Molten Facility and Aetherblade Retreat later in the year. The election will only be available from July 23rd to August 5th, after which no more votes will be accepted."

Apparently is on a rotation though.

Not sure if this is an nvidia thing but I have to turn off Reflections in order to keep my framerate at 80+. Everything else can be maxed, including Supersampling...etc.

Depends where you are playing.

If where you are is heavily populated (aka zerged) it will slaughter your PC.

MMO with a physic engine will do that.

I am playing on a "Very High" population server and even when I lower my resolution to like 1920x1200 I still can't keep consistently high FPS on the lowest settings!

Then you might have a problem somewhere.

If I set my settings to best performance I have 50-70+ FPS even in Lion's Arch, also in a very high population server (Desolation).

so, molten facility and aetherblade retreat added to Fotm? that is very cool--These will certainly be shortened versions and those bosses will have to be gimped, I suppose.

now, if that MF chest happens to add the jetpack and mini I will be rather unhappy--but I am wondering if the crystal nodes will be available? It seems like they should be in there, considering that the crystal is quite popular for crafting PvP stuff, but there are no other gather nodes in other fotm maps...

Azurite crystals/orbs with sentinel's stats. I have 22 of the orbs sitting in my bank, bunch of crystals, too. Never bothered to check, but I'm assuming the crystals can be upgraded to orbs like any other gem through crafting?

I doubt they'll reintroduce the nodes though, or they might as well bring back snowflakes and halloween mats as well. Seems like for the most part limited items stay limited.

pretty sure candy corn and snowflakes will be back with, essentially, the very same activities for halloween and wintersday events.

but you're probably right about azurite. Candy corn, at least, is involved in so many recipes it seems to me they can't completely eradicate it from the market. Ditto with these sprockets that are currently dropping from the jubilee events. 250 for a recipe, and 250 to craft each one? seriously?

sentinel's stuff has been insanely valuable for a while now. not sure why as I think the stats suck (well, it's for PvP, I guess). the inscriptions and such for crafting have gone up to 20g each. crystals are, at the moment, 1.6g each

and actually, I don't think you can transmute the crystals into orbs. this option doesn't appear in the jewelcrafting window. As such, the crystals are only worth about 5s each.

This may sound silly, but when is the last time you cleaned out the inside of your pc? I have a first generation i7 860 and a geforce 480. The game ran like absolute crap on my machine. I started playing this game again on my gf's pc which runs this game great and it was always so disappointing when I went home and played it on my pc. I was getting a lot of dips into the low 20's no matter the settings. I decided to clean out my pc because it had probably been a year and a half or longer since i last took compressed air to it.

I had a ton of buildup on the heatsink of my cpu as well as my power supply and other fans. After I blew it all out my performance in this game nearly doubled. My fps is not dipping into the low 20's anymore. I'm getting something like a low of 40 fps and highs of 90 with it averaging around 50.

Cleaning out heatsinks and stuff is good for computers that are overheating and throttling.

The problem with that theory is that I am running a custom water-cooling loop and none of my components go above 50 degrees.

Reverted my PC to stock settings because I thought I might have had an unstable OC somewhere.

Same story, 15-20 FPS, lowest settings, low ass resolution. My GPU seems to be stressed to 99% though, not sure what that's about.

badboy, yea 20fps with that your looking at in that little window is a major problem. Its gotta be your video card or driver. Try using any one of the last few certified (not beta) releases of the driver. Also if possible.. can you not run/disable some of that msi power stuff? Anything that uses auto detection to change performance values can screw up your performance if it isn't detecting correctly.

After much work today I just got mine.

Huh, second try going counter-clockwise and I beat it with ease, never was in danger and I probably could have lasted another minute or two no problem. I would have beaten it on the first try even except I strayed too close to the wall and walked right into a vision of mortality that was off-screen.

Thanks for the tip! That's really bizarre, but for whatever reason I know I always went clockwise before and so when you mentioned that I knew I had to try it and sure enough... ^_^

If anyone wants a laugh, go to Queensdale on Tarnished Coast and find the Hunting Lodge point of interest. It's near the Boar and Queen Wasp events, if you're not sure. Walk into the lodge with your town clothes and hilarity will ensue.

Not sure if the RP'ers are there all the time but when they're on, it's a blast.
