I still have yet to get into a non-overflow for Teq, and I've only gotten to the "Defend the battery" section a whopping two times. Me thinks it may be a long time yet, if ever, that I see that boss defeated. *sad face*

You have to check your server WvW community.

For example in desolation, the WvW TS is also now used for Tequatl, and people organize and try to bring other people via "join party".

There are also some servers using raidcall to organize and go into overflows via join party to avoid afkers.

Regarding the free trial, I've seen a decent number of people in caledon forest during one of my black lion key runs.

Well, well... I was completing some skill points for the daily in Sparkfly (Overflow) when Teq spawned. It didn't look good at first but we ended up beating him with less than 15 seconds remaining.

Well, looks like they broke out the halloween decorations from last year. Not that I really mind since they really did an amazing job with it (it was their first event after release and they went all in to make it look good).

That said, I didn't notice the clocktower jump puzzle

The clocktower jumping puzzle is back.

Just travel to the mad king realm via one of the queensdale, kessex hills or gendarran fields doors and talk to the the chsrr dude inside.

One of the options will take you to the clock tower.

They put everyone in pvp clothing and once the jp start all the other players become blue wisps.

Well that is an improvement at least in terms of being able to see.... I might need to spend some time again in the game.

Took me about 20 minutes to figure out/remember the trick of getting through the beginning again. Once I had that down, I was golden

I need to spend a little more time in the game over the next few days to finish off my monthly (something I have not been as vigilant as I should have been especially since the last month gave a decent magic find bonus).

I've been thinking about getting GW2 since it is on sale at Amazon for $35. Is that the lowest it has been?

I've played guild wars 2 extensively for around a year and I want to continue playing it so badly but I'm just bored. It seems like each release that they put out is fun for around a day and then its already old news. How do you guys stay interested in the game? Ive leveled multiple 80s and I wish there was more end game.

I don't have yet all the 8 professions leveled up to 80.

I just do the stuff I like and mostly of that is playing in the open world with some WvW.

Currently I've been playing my engineer a lot and after playing tons of P/P engineer and then grenades engineer, I'm having tons of fun using bombs.

So I just vary builds, characters I play and do occasionally some farming to move towards ascended weapons and legendary.

I've only played ~1200 hours though, that is like 2-3 hours a day, so I'm not particularly burnout.

Just take a break, that's the beauty of not having a sub fee.

This game definitely has an issue with progression though, once you reach "end game" there's only a few things to do on the PvE side - farm achievement points, work towards the 100+g skins, and work towards a legendary. And if you make a bunch of alts then you can do all these things x8.

heh i bought the unlimited usage axe.

is it worth 1000 gems? i dont think so...
But im stock piling like 4387 gems left from when i bought 10k...

It has a cool activation script and the axe sprite looks cool.
Id say it looks like a slyvari axe... yet its used just for wood.

Zin that unlimited usage ore pick u have.... does that have its own action?

Im actually thinking about that perminent recycle box too, so i dont need to use salvages.
However its only a normal salvage so i cant stomache myself to front 800 gems for that.

It was extremely weird signing on and seeing montauk still on.
I bet his account is way more OP then mine too now.. lol...

The mining pick makes a little microvolcano every time you use it, the gathering tool creates a little water spring. I think there was a breakdown that they are very much not worth the cost, especially as gem prices keep rising. And even when the pick was first released, not worth it.

The only mild advantage is that the gathering tool seems to be a bit faster on each gather--it's a quick swing of a scythe, versus kneeling down and picking through the dirt. At least, it seems faster.

The salvage kit is very, very worthless. It is only basic quality, iirc, and it costs some copper every time you use it. With the way the account chests dump mystic stones on you at each achievement reward (I now have about 240?), there is no reason not to just craft mystic salvage kits--250 uses each for rare quality.

I haven't logged in for about 2 weeks now, but I'm pretty sure nothing has changed wrg to that.

Neither the tools or salvage machine are money saving items.
They are quality of life items - buy them and never have to "ooops I don't have a pick, where is a merch?" or "ooops I forgot to change my pick from mithril to orichalcum". Also save some space in your bags.

The problem is I have 8 characters so having to go to a bank to swap them them all whenever I want to play another character kills that quality of life and I'm not going to spend $37.5 per character (or $300 for all) for gathering tools.

Once they become buy and then you receive a set per character I'll jump on them.

I bought 4x unlimited axes, 4x unlimited picks, and 5x unlimited sickles when they were 800 gems each. Very happy to see them go account bound rather than soulbound so I feel like I have plenty at the moment and probably won't ever need to pick up more.

The sickles are much more worthwhile than the picks/axes because every plant has a chance for an unidentified dye. That and if/when the playerbase ever dies down to significantly low levels where players aren't saturating the TP with materials, cooking ingredients can only be harvested, whereas wood/ore can still at least be salvaged from items.

I never bothered with a copper fed salvage tool cause I find it easy enough to just warp into WvW and grab a few basic kits then F12 right back to wherever I was, even when dungeon running.

Sitting on about 7,000 gems just waiting for a sale on extra storage tabs, already have 18 character slots and don't see myself ever leveling all of them. The gem rate is getting pretty ridiculous, though. I can't believe people are willing to spend 8+ gold per 100 gems. I loaded up on mine when they were just under 4g per 100, really didn't expect that they'd ever get as high as they are now, though.

I loaded up on my gems when they were 1g per 100. But I did use most of them (because I didn't have a lot of gold back then as well and couldn't get as many as I would have liked, but it did get me to a total of 8 character slots, maxed out bags (at that time) on my 2 main characters, and maxed out bank slots (at that time) with some leftovers...)

Just started playing again since the start of the Living Story. I'm kind of sad that I missed out on a lot of one-time achievement stuff, but oh well.

Think I'll finally get my Mesmer up to 80.

I got my mesmer to 34 before I just couldn't stand the constant dying... Same with my ele. I guess I am just a warrior/guardian kind of player...

I honestly cannot stand leveling in this game anymore. It's downright painful if the zones don't have a lot of players. I kind of saw the issue when I outleveled the first 3-4 zones at launch but now I never see other players out doing things and I may as well queue WvW to level, It will be faster and easier. Kind of sad I really enjoyed this game on launch and played a lot but anymore I just log on for some living story here and there and log off.

I have no such problem in my server (Desolation EU).
