I actually found mumble an improvement to vent when we moved over to it when i was playing WoW still. lots of people in the WoW community moved to it and really liked it
Oh, and I think I really like guardian. I can really see it being useful for group PvP and PvE. Lots of nice AOE (once you get the right weapons) and some really sweet skills to perform crowd control and healing group healing. That said, it is going to be a nightmare getting his crafting up since he is set as an armorer and weaponsmith, which all use essentially the same components.... I might just not even both until I am level 60 and simply use that for the last 20 levels...
Oh, and I could never access the guild bank to even see what kind of items we might have that would be useful to a low level elemental or guardian... Wasn't sure if this is simply a security/access thing to only allow certain players to see the stuff or if it just wasn't working/bugged.
I think several people have suggested waiting until later levels to level crafting, to simply get better benefits from the XP--but I think that is stupid. Plenty of ways to get XP and level in this game.
One thing you can do, level up armor or weapon first--I'd suggest armor--that way you don't have to compete for mats.
i was planning on waiting to start crafting but i had so man raw mats i had to start turning ore into bars and such
So. Tried My first dungeon (AC)
My thoughts throughout the dungeon you ask?
Each pull went something like this...

"Oh god someone is down I will go revive him, you all take care of th..."
"OH GOD IM HURT. Help!!! I need a Revive."
"Ha. Think death will stop me?"
/Revive at closest wwaypoint
"CHARGE!!!!!"
"Oh my legg! its gone!? Help I need Heal..."
"Well... here I am on the ground again... the nice cold ground."
/Revive at the closest waypoint
"Thats it, taste my protective and healing ability of water"
"Thats right I make it rain! Rai..."
"Well. This ground feels more cozy the third time I am laying on it. It is so nice. Maybe if things didnt do half my health in 1 blow on attacks I couldnt dodge, I would feel more useful. Oh well. Ground at least we have eac..."
"I am alive! Thanks for the revive buddies!"
23 deaths and 14silver later.

The thing about TeamSpeak is that it's free and easy to set up.
If you want to set up Mumble or donate a Vent server, go for it. But for my free time and money, TeamSpeak is the way to go.
that's probably the best way to do it. We have enough people in the guild, and likely enough timezones to make this work. (I'm somewhat used to time-zone based servers, so I keep forgetting that we have people from all over. Though I do know we have at least one Kiwi in the guild...)
Being that guild teams, from what I can tell, aren't really limited by size (or are they?)--are they even teams, or do you just log in together?--that should further open up what we want to do. Simply--East Coast Avengers are on from ~6-9pm EST, and West Coast Avengers join at the same time PST, with anyone willing to stay on as long as they wish.
If there are limitations (I was investigating guild and guild PvP functions through wiki yesterday, and found little to no information regarding "guild teams"), then we would probably have to make a more dedicated schedule, and time to be online to join.
most of the guild-related PvP functions are related to capturing and holding outposts in WvW and from the description I have read, the guild that "owns" said outpost is simply determined by the number of members from a single guild involved in that capture. Honestly, I think it would be pretty cool if we can have enough people on at one times (assuming the queues aren't killing us) to capture two outposts at once and hold them. Guild banners and bonuses are good for any allies, so our name will be known throughout!

I ran into my first issue with my class quest. I'm gonna be vague as to not ruin the story for anyone. But I'm on the lvl 23 story quest were you "meet" some guys in a swamp and defend a spot with some children. Only problem is after the first wave, guys stop spawning. Nothing to do, nothing left to kill. Quest just sits there.
I tried a couple times, but always the same result. I'll try again later today, but if anyone read/experienced this issue let me know how you got past it.
For the TP when you sell something does it go straight to your mail or what? I put 3 yellows on there to try it out and now only 2 are listed, I've got no idea where the 3rd went - I'm assuming *poof* at this point.
I am Fancy Redbush
