So I just spent about 2.5 gold on influence to make a personal guild stash, which it turns out was a waste of money cause they don't let you deposit soulbound or account bound items, like 90% of your inventory. Would've been nice if that was mentioned in the description ArenaNet, you tards. Someone should be fired between all the typos, or sometimes just outright wrong skill tooltips, and general lack of descriptive information in places that could really use it.

Keep playing the game and you'll see that majority of your stash will not be account or soulbound. Most of items are stored on alts/mules and not bound.

I'm open for it, but it's hard to say which it will be from week to week. Don't forget that SBI was up there, as well, until guilds decide to move to another server, bring them up, then move again, bring that server up, etc.

I guess there is something to be said for joining the top server just ahead of the the switch, assuming all those people will just keep on doing WvW...but really, what is the point of that?

That being said, SBi strength has clearly been lacking from what it was in the past, not that I've ever been serious about it....but the zerg sizes are just pathetic from where they used to be (dominant zerg strategy of WvW...I find rather lacking overall, but whatever)

Well, I joined Sea of Sorrows. We already had someone in the guild there, so it made sense. Doesn't hurt the fact that it is currently the number 1 ranged WvWvW server with people who seem to play that (was a queue even to get into eternal battlegrounds right now, which is something I have never seen on Stormbluff).

Now that could be good or bad depending on how you look at it. The good is that you are not constantly outnumbered like we have been in Stormbluff. The bad is that you have to wait to get in...

Yeah, I was just going to post this information as well. This will greatly reduce the server transfers, so now is pretty much the time to do it. I have to say that I have been enjoying SoS, but it is really too early for me to tell. But there is some really decent WvWvW going on over there, and the extra couple % of bonuses are nice as well.

I just can't see switching to SoS--well, I know I won't. moving to number 1 just because, just doesn't sit right with me. Much rather find a competitive place and work to push those guys out of first, or just keep slumming with SBI and see what happens when things get locked down.

While I would normally agree with you in principle, in this case, so many of the good WvWvW that we had have already switched here. We had a TS server being run by several of the other guilds which had 4 or 5 of the first commanders, but they all mass migrated a couple weeks ago. It is one of the reasons why SBI's WvWvW dropped to tier 2, and is going to drop to tier 3 at the next re-rankings. The last few times I had been in WvWvW in SBI, about half the people from SBI were doing jump puzzles, going from map to map, not defending, not attacking, not coordinating. It was essentially every person for his/herself and simply ignoring everything but what they wanted to do, which was obviously get the badges/blue prints from the jump puzzle chests....

If you're looking to move the guild you need to find a low pop server, if there even are any, anything with strong WvW will be nearly full most of the time. WvW isn't all that important anyways, I'm on Kaineng which has a really strong WvW presence (wasn't always that way) and you get the max bonuses for about 2-3 days before it resets again, seems like wasted effort to me.

The bonus difference between #3 and #1 in the tier is completely negligible, I've noticed--2% greater, and that's when we are getting creamed. WvW presence is mainly for those that just want more to do. Tough to WvW when your server hasn't a single outpost remaining on all 4 maps

Anyway, guild bonuses do not transfer servers. I switched to SoR just to get the last 5 POI I needed for my little star and to check out another server ahead of the switch. After realizing guild bonuses don't transfer at all--I knew active bonuses didn't apply, but the guild on the other server essentially displays as un-upgraded, and back to 0 on influence. So, yeah, I have no desire to restart all the upgrades. Can't even access the bank because, of course, it doesn't exist in a guild without upgrades.

Heading back to SBI as soon as my 7 days are up.

most people either switched over to other servers, the wvw guilds fractured, whatever. It used to be the top, way back int eh beginning, but this is what happens when you allow free server transfers for this long. The server that becomes #1, and it is in constant rotation with SoS being the current top dog, benefits from people just moving around and concentrating on one server.

Further--WvW success is completely zerg dependent, which is an inherent flaw outside of the server migration issues. When you lose people and interest, your zerg reduces to about a single mob of 20 or 30 people, if you're lucky. And when you go into WvW on the SBI side, you basically just see people doing jump puzzles to get their badges and not offering to defend or attack or do anything useful.

That being said, I'm curious as to what will happen when servers lock down and SBI inevitably falls down to the third tier. Who knows, we could end up dominating at that level and with some constant success, people become interested again.

I need to start trying some of the other classes again. While I have created 1 of just about everything at one point or another, I gave up on most of them aside from the warrior and guardian.

So I will move to Kaineng as soon as my transfer lockdown is expired. Kaineng has a lot of former SBI guilds, and are currently in T5, destroying all of the competition.

Really, the only benefit is WvW. I have my 6th toon, now approaching lvl 30, so I'm starting to get into WvW a wee bit more and in the future, will probably spend more time tooling around on those maps.

For those that want to stay on SBI and show the TPAD flag--the 3 or 4 of you that are actually playing and representing --please do. Or jump on Kaineng as well. We'll have an SBI pres and officers as well as Kaineng pres and officers. I will spend some gold to boost influence on Kaineng and get it upgraded ASAP.

My plan is to keep guest status on SBI whenever I can and do much of the PvE there, to take advantage of guild boosts. But, I'll just have to see how the new system works out.

I spent the last week on SoR--mainly to finish my 5 PoI and to test out another server. PvE was a bit better--far more people on lowbie maps so many more events active than what I was experiencing on SBI over the previous month or two. It really seems that SBI has little chance of recovery, so a wider migration may be in order down the line.

I ran fractals last night and can verify that it was patched. I saw the following changes work properly during the run:

1) Disconnect / Reconnect worked
2) Low fractal level players could join the max level of the group
3) 1 pseudo-exploit fixed to de-trivialize a boss
4) Rewards correctly allocated based on personal fractal level

Several exploits have been fixed on boss fights. It's about time honestly. All of the bugs and exploits in this game has been turning PVE dungeons into a joke.
