I think Bruce Irvin was a ridiculous stretch and by far the biggest I can remember in a draft by any other team than the Raiders.

You forgot the Lions and Charles Rogers.

I thought I remember Charles Rogers as a high level WR prospect before the draft.


He ended up being brittle as a pretzel.

Really wasn't that bad of a pick in my opinion, dude looks explosive as hell on video, had amazing combine numbers, and was a great pass rusher. Word was that SF had promised they would take him, so he wasn't getting out of the 1st round.

I have a sinking feeling the Bears have been played twice already, maybe as payback for their shenanigans last year.

#1) other teams(the Patriots, specifically) floated rumors about taking Mclellen in the 20s, and made the Bears panic pick him at 19.

#2) other teams made the Bears believe that Stephen Hill (a guy they really coveted) would be available at a certain pick, so they traded up only to find Hill gone two picks earlier. They then drafted huge question mark Alshon Jeffrey instead to save face.

Maybe they'll both end up being good NFLers.

The only thing the announcers talked about outside of how good he could be is trading him in a year or two for like a second rounder. That is what I got out of their input.

That tight end the bears just picked sums up the draft for them nicely. ALMOST got the guy they wanted.

San Diego got the good player one pick before.

Their getting bigger and want to control the clock so they dont fade like they did the last few years because of size.

grossman is at least an NFL caliber QB and a good backup. If your QB goes down for 5-6 games, I think Rex could win 3 of those with a good defense. He's definitely not a long-term answer, but he can show he can have high quality games (and terrible ones too)

I like the guy. I think he'd make a great backup.

But in reality, QB is only one of their major issues. Too many people are only looking there for answers
