Indeed, it would be nice if AMD would get them to anyone. They are really holding up the show right now.

I've been keeping tabs, and it doesn't look like anyone is getting thier retail boxed units when they were promised. I'd read that TD has them in, but I don't think they do.

OEM's are out now I beleive, but we're all still waiting on AMD to get those retail units out.

Yes, exactly. Obviously, we retailers can't start shipping products until the manufacturers actually send them to us

The OEMs are indeed out and about, but we're all still waiting for AMD to ship the retail boxed units from thier fabs to us retailers. Then we can actually start filling orders, which will be nice.

This makes me wonder what the stock situations will be once they are released, and if AMD is going to be able to keep up with demand. If the pre-orders were any indication, these will be hot sellers.

Where are OEM X2's available to ship immediately? I can't find a single one...

It can't take that long for shipments from the fab

I thought Monarch had started shipping OEMs, but I'm not 100% sure.

I don't know if it's so much the shipping time, or just preparing for shipment. Who knows?

That is (apparently) what a few members have heard via e-mail but I've yet to see anyone actually receive one. Perhaps Monarch's shipments have been delayed as well?

It's possible, but I Joe would have to confirm or deny this to be sure. They are a great company, so I highly doubt they would have e-mailed thier customers to say they had shipped if they hadn't.

What could have happened is that they got a small number of units at first, and filled a few of thier pre-orders, and are now waiting on another shipment. That's entirely possible.

I was looking on Tigerdirect, and they no longer have the OEM 4400+ listed for $545. Their retail 4400+ is $604. With a price that low, I was going to live with a potential bad e-retailer experience. Looks like I'm going to have to wait longer - now that's more money than I have at the moment.

I just emailed Monarch about my OEM 4800+ and they claim they are stilling waiting on them to get in!!! What the heck!!

And I complain about spending more than 140.00 on a video card? Come to think of it I dont complain but boy does the wife remind me every 6 months I get the urge to upgrade.

Yea, I re-read in the thread earlier, the person who said thiers had shipped mis-read thier e-mail.

So as far as I know, nobody is even shipping OEM's right now.

Does the "DFI LANPARTY nF4 SLI-DR" mobo support the 64 x2 chips? At the moment I know the "ASUS A8N-SLI Deluxe" one does and it's the only reason why I went with asus. I did check the DFI site but didn't find anything. I would glady switch to the DFI but I need to know for sure if it supports dual core cpus;(

Yes DFI supports AMD X2. Their current BIOS for their NF4 boards all have support.

How is it possible that tanksguys has an ETA date next week for the RETAIL version of the X2 4400+ while monarch and everywhere else are getting them in next month .. Is this really the retail version being sold at Tankguys?

Yes, it's really the retail version.

We are showing the 15th right now, as that's when we've been told we will get them. However, it's completely possible that we'll be delayed again. All we can do is wait for AMD to ship them out.

Of course, if we do get delayed again, we are going to notify every one of our customers to let them know. If that happens, it's entirely possible that some people will cancel thier orders; but the truth is, it's highly unlikely that anybody is going to have the retail boxed version before us. If they do, we're even going to let our customers know that, since I know thier priority is getting the chips ASAP, so if we can't get them first, we'll tell them who can.

In any case, yes, we are selling the retail version, but we have to wait until AMD distributes them, just like all the other retailers. I hope our date we've been given is correct, but we won't know for sure until we have them in hand.

Your presence here on this forum has me thinking about taking a chance on an unknown company, but I don't see anything about your policies on your website. Did I miss something? Y'all seem like you've got the right idea about service, but your sales, privacy, RMA and return policy are critical for people doing business over the web. Given all the horror stories I've heard and a few I've experienced firsthand, it's scary to contemplate buying from someone who doesn't say what happens if I need an RMA.
