I sent Monarch an email at 1:00 am on the 22nd cancelling my order. They cancelled the order but still have yet to return the funds to my card. I tend to be financially conservative, so I was still able to purchase from mwave, but it IS annoying that they are holding onto my money like this. I sent them an email today telling them I was willing to wait a few days, which is a reasonable amount of time, but want the funds back ASAP. Mwave, on the other hand, shipped my retail processor right away, and I received it yesterday.

Hopefully Monarch understands that while I might be willing to wait a few days, that I will probably hesitate before I ever do business with them again. If they don't refund the money by the middle of next week, they will be hearing from my bank, the FTC, the BBB, and anyone else I can think of. BTW, guys, the FTC and attorney general's office is the best place to report fraudulent or illegitiimate business activity. The BBB actually is a private organization funded by the businesses that they represent, so the worst that can happen to a business is that they get kicked out or a slap on the wrist. That's why most (shady) businesses don't react when you threaten to report them to the BBB. It's a joke. Besides, how often does anyone check with the BBB BEFORE doing business with someone? I know that I don't.

Finally got the dreaded Backorder Email from ZZF. Spoke to their customer service and they were useless. This person said that they do fill orders on a first come first serve basis. Who know what to believe.

But I did just order from Mwave. Used the $10 off coupon to help pay the $15 cost to send it two days.

I placed an order from mwave too. And after that I called them and someone told me
they are still available. So I hope this time I can get mine.

BTW: Does anybody know if you place an order via phone, does that mean you have a higher priority than those orders placed online?

Global says they are getting 340 peices in today in 4 different boxes (one of which has 10). I talked to them today and they verified that my order will ship out today.

I would love to know how these companies get them. There are 0 available with any of the major distributors... I just find it strange that smallish companies can get them, when distributors who move multiple thousands of each processor can't. Very strange.

I ordered the 4400+ on mwave as well and called in to confirm it and they said it shouldn't be a problem getting sent out today if everything verifies (hope I didn't typo my credit card number... dohhh!) but anyways, I'll let you guys know if anything comes up like ZZF.

Exactly. After seeing all of the trouble that some people are having to go through now, I have absolutely no regrets about spending a tiny bit more at Newegg.

The difference for me was that I was unwilling to pay $640 for an OEM X2 which is $100 more than I would be willing to pay for an OEM. I guess it's a principal thing for me, not a fan of corporate greed.

fyi - mwave just called me to let me know that my order shipped and to expect an email with tracking number. Now, that's good customer service.

OK, I'm really confused now...an hour ago, it said my entire order was shipped. Now the 4400 is backordered??? I'm at a complete loss of words. I could have sworn when i checked at 10 it showed it had all shipped and it was en route to Oakland...and then i get the email. I'm sure theyre getting plenty of pissed off people calling, should I give them a piece of my mind too?

So you just paid $625 + shipping which is almost exactly what I paid . So what is your point ?

Order Status: All Backordered - These items are currently on backorder, and will ship as soon as we receive stock on them.

That's what Global is saying now.. I am on the phone with them now.

The point is that I got a retail version at a 4% mark-up and not a 20% mark-up for a OEM. Like I said, it's a principal thing for me.

The greatest thing ever about Newegg is their real time stock. If it says its in stock, it is, and you'll get it. If it isn't in stock, it won't say its in stock, and its impossible to order. They've been awesome about that for the past 6 years I've been buying from them. It seems like every other company on the internet doesn't really know what they have in stock until 48 hours after you've placed your order. I just wish more companies would follow their example.

$600 OEM is what I saw. at 20% that would be $120 more, and I didn;t pay that. $640 is 6.67% profit. Please explain where you get your prices and your math.

Based on their resellerratings and your current experience with them, I wouldn't make any more effort with them and get one from mwave.

I would venture a guess that since the companies that are selling them are consistantly offering "inflated" prices, some of them are probably buying at "reasonable" (although post-distributor-markup) prices from other retailers, and then adding an additional margin when they post them on their websites for end-users.

Anybody in the Portland/Vancouver Metro Area want to buy one of my 4400+ X2's off me? $546

The guy who I bought it for decided to go with a Venice instead, BTW.

I'm rather surprised at this, they shipped my 4200+ within a day of ordering. Well, with a few extras, just in case (no pun intended; the case is en-route from Tank Guys). I guess I got lucky? They also shipped it before their price on the 4200+ jumped, too.
