I sent Monarch an email at 1:00 am on the 22nd cancelling my order. They cancelled the order but still have yet to return the funds to my card. I tend to be financially conservative, so I was still able to purchase from mwave, but it IS annoying that they are holding onto my money like this. I sent them an email today telling them I was willing to wait a few days, which is a reasonable amount of time, but want the funds back ASAP. Mwave, on the other hand, shipped my retail processor right away, and I received it yesterday.
Hopefully Monarch understands that while I might be willing to wait a few days, that I will probably hesitate before I ever do business with them again. If they don't refund the money by the middle of next week, they will be hearing from my bank, the FTC, the BBB, and anyone else I can think of. BTW, guys, the FTC and attorney general's office is the best place to report fraudulent or illegitiimate business activity. The BBB actually is a private organization funded by the businesses that they represent, so the worst that can happen to a business is that they get kicked out or a slap on the wrist. That's why most (shady) businesses don't react when you threaten to report them to the BBB. It's a joke. Besides, how often does anyone check with the BBB BEFORE doing business with someone? I know that I don't.
