Yep, thanks Xeemzor for getting this going... I'm surprised we don't have a few more ATOT folks that want to play. My level of play is certainly low and I have few expectations, but it's fun regardless.

Anyhow, I started a game with my opponent (ChAoTiCpInOy) and selected "random" for the white or black question.

That's fine for now. Sorry I didn't think about this earlier, as I'm still kinda new at organizing chess games

Current analysis by grandmaster tagej: white menacingly moved two of the horse/dragon-looking thingies towards my border. I need to build a factory so I can build armored units to take care of it....
i'd be happy to be white there.

Isn't it a little premature for such judgments?

Anyway Rise and I are playing a classical style game
Algebraic Notation:
1. e4 e5
2. Nf3

or written as computers like it..

I don't like the 1 move per 24 hour thing.. I used to be a blitz player in high school..

Suggestion: Cld everyone use a standard format like zebano v Rise with each round of play being on one line
i.e # White Black
e.g

1. d4 Nf6
2. c4 e6
3. Nc3 ....

It makes following the games easier.
The notation for moves don't have to be as above (e2e4, K-4 etc are all fine)

Also, if someone cld annotate (completed) games wld be nice. Probably have a separate thread (sticky?) for those

My opponent, Xonoahbin has yet to make a move as white. I PMed him, telling him to start the game. After a certain amount of time (the OP can decide, seeing as he's the Tournament Director) can I be assigned a new opponent, or something?

maybe if he doesn't respond, it'll be a 1st round bye for you

i'm surprised there aren't more players myself. hopefully you can get matched up quickly.
