A friend tells me I have bad taste in rap because I prefer old school (NWA is comedic genius), Nate Dog/Warren G, or NAS to what he considers more hardcore rappers like Jay-Z. I may have lost a friend when I also described ICP as a certain part of a female's anatomy, not that I mind honestly.

Cool that Deltron 3030 got national exposure on David Letterman. Hope this brings more quality hip hop into the light (but that would be wishful thinking). Especially now that Arsenio Hall has a new show. He always showed love for hip hop back in the day.

Calle 13 released Multi_Viral last month.
Decent stuff. I think it might have been just as good as his previous release, but not so much better. Usually all of his albums up to now have been better than previous album, so this might be breaking that trend. Maybe I'm wrong & I need to listen to it more.

Ana Tijoux released Vengo last month.
Am thinking it's my favorite album this year. Maybe one or 2 tracks I wasn't feeling that much, but have enjoyed the sounds a lot more than anything else I've listened to so far this year.

Also G-Side has a real 'single' out, Statue. It's still got a little bit of the G-Side airiness but stays current with a pretty sick trap rap beat that sounds great with some Travis Barker-like drums underneath.
