So, why US only? Hopefully that's not completely true.methinks they waited these days to stock up to a reasonable amount... something they should've done to begin with.

For what it's worth, I had no problems pairing my Nexus 4 with the bluetooth system in my Prius, the Ford C-Max rental car I had last week, or my wife's Subaru. It plays music fine, and navigation works fine too. My only minor complaint is that when you press the bluetooth button, I don't get Google Voice Actions, but instead get some faint robot woman saying "Google voice dial, say call and a person's name or number". I'd rather that it just let me do anything that pressing the microphone button in the top let's me do. I also didn't get navigation audio in the Ford C-Max, but I do in my wife's Subaru and my Prius.

It was LG that insisted on glass, not Google.I never understood the issue. While I do appreciate the look/feel of N4, the "plastic" GNex never bothered me and it didn't scream cheap at me at all.
Basically what happened here is Google went through same progression as Apple did except for insisting to go through through the glass issues themselves rather than learning from Apple's example. If glass was really doable it would be removable as well but it always implies a sealed enclosure.
A case helps, both with thermal and impact issues but it's a solution for a problem that shouldn't exist to begin with. I don't mind having a case but it would have been much better to have the option for a nice flip case that uses a custom battery cover, an option that was traded away with the sealed enclosure choice. Then again, a flip cover isn't really sufficient protection for that much glass anyway. Weighing in the price, performance and benefits of a Nexus device, the use of glass contributed less to the phone than it took away but I can easily overlook that.
I know. It would be funny as hell if the ordering experience is the clusterfuck it was on launch day.
Well, yesterday, I also got a notice that my N4 and N10 are finally supposed to ship out this week. It will be nice to experience what everyone else has had been having with their new stuff. Plus, I'm coming from Apple, so it's going to be a completely different experience.
Sad thing though, I was playing around a lot with the iPhone interface on my car this weekend, it's going to suck to not have it anymore.
Nexus 4′s Glass Back, the Worst Idea Since the Last Phone With a Glass Back
But back to these two cracked backs both of which cracked without a drop. Let me say that again both the Optimus G and Nexus 4 cracked in my possession without ever dropping them. You know what did it? Setting them down gently onto my room temperature stone countertop. Thats it. The temperature change after it went from my warm hand to a room temperature countertop was apparently enough to split both devices glass backs almost directly down the middle.
Looking back, Google probably did me a favor by screwing up the launch. I was able to cancel my order and read the reviews on the N4 and N10. While the N4 reviews are almost all positive minus the battery life, N10 reviews are not so glowing. For the same price as the 16gb N10 from the Play Store, I was able to pickup 16gb iPad4. And while N4 sounds nice, I think GNex with swappable batteries and working Stickmount and MHL HDMI out is better fit for me. I thought it was pretty funny and ironic that the Google Offers on Cyber Monday was for $18 4000mah portable Energizer rechargeable battery pack from Newegg. Google must had that deal for the N4 owners.
You could have flipped that N4 on Ebay for a significant profit. They're still selling for quite a bit, and probably will continue to even after some of us get our shipment this week.
anyone got shipping notices today?
Well, I'm gonna F5 Google Play anyway up here in Kanuckistan this afternoon, just in case.there's probably something to do with adding servers too on their back end so they don't look as stupid as they did a few weeks back.
wtf i should've sold mine lolI've seen the bumper cover going for over $90 on eBay. Crazy!

Please don't tell you're talking about Nexus 4 inventory, and you're being serious...Rofl... that lasted 10 seconds.
