they have that rubbery feel right? its less slippery and a bit harder to slide my finger around from my experience with Zagg and Bodyguardz.

It feels pretty slick to me right now but not really as slick as the bare screen. I've also been using ghost armor for about 2 years on my ip4 and this one feels a little slicker. It might just be a coating that will wear off eventually but I'm pretty happy with it right now. Also I might just be used to using these screen protectors since I've used this type on multiple devices.

Another issue is that every notification I get results in vibration. Gmail, Gchat, everything. I turned off vibration on those, but I don't know why the device needs to vibrate. Is this a Jellybean issue?

CM10 didn't have these issues on my SGS2....

Sorry I don't buy it. The Home button is not right up against the space bar. There is a dead zone between space and home that you can press which won't trigger either button. So unless you have really, really big thumbs, it is not an issue. Honestly If someone has trouble aiming for the big space bar, then I don't see how they could be typing at all on any smartphone keyboard.

I didn't have a problem while I was using a galaxy nexus, but I had a friend who switched from an iPhone and he complained about the home button for a couple of months. He got used to it eventually though.

It's a bug with 4.2. Are you running a Google rom or a third party?

Stock. Not rooted. Is this a 4.2 only? Some Googling shows that perhaps it was Jellybean meaning 4.1 also? I can't be certain. Before this I probably spent like 2 hours on stock ROMs or however long it took to root my past 2 phones lol. I always just thought AOSP would be like CyanogenMod minus some features, but now it seems like AOSP is missing more and more features.

Yeah, that's what I had always thought when I was using my Touchpad. "Oh, this is stock Android, they just have a stupid release name." Then I used a Galaxy Nexus. Boy was I wrong.

Is there a browser that allows you to go to the top of the page by tapping the top of the screen/url bar? It's a feature that I used a lot with Safari.

Opera Mobile does something similar where if it sees you scrolling too much, arrows pop up near the bottom right i think where if you tap you go to the top or bottom immediately.

well i unboxed mine last night and i think i'm love (granted i'm coming from an iphone4 on verizon). i haven't activated it yet; however, i plan to visit t-mobile today and port my number over from verizon. i stopped by verizon last night and they are going to want about $180 to term my contact early . i would love to find a way to avoid it, but i know i probably won't. i'm an add-on line (read family plan) to my parents and the only smartphone on the plan and although my contract is up in July '13, i don't want to remain with verizon (my parents want out too but will probably ride out their contracts). i will probably just bite the bullet and pay the etf and get my t-mobile family plan set up today. i put my wife on t-mobile about 3 months ago and it's just so much cheaper than verizon if i remove my line from the family plan and shift it to my own, new account. the service and coverage is just fine in my area, also.

edit: sorry, this is just a typeup of my thoughts, lol.

edit2: anyone want to buy an iphone4 (white - 16Gb) on verizon (complete with white otterbox defender case)

edit3: will verizon buy back my iphone to avoid/compensate for the etf?

its in a little bag... it should be there, look carefully.

Thanks. I found it. I saw a video of a person unboxing one and it wasn't in a bag, located under all of the box material and just fell out when he took everything out including the boxing for the charger and cable.

So, I thought I lost it somewhere in the house and looked everywhere with no luck. I ended-up using a pin.

Well, I originally opened it while in a meeting and when I went into work this meeting I went back to the meeting room and found it on the table in that little plastic bag.

Got my nexus 4 delivered yesterday, but was out at a client all day.

I just noticed the SKU says LGE960.AUSGBK. Seems like it was meant for Australia and Great Britain? Oh well, its in the US.

lol hard at work I see?

It was an IT staff meeting and everyone wanted to check it out. Got my Nexus 10 32gb today and everyone is coming by to check it now.

I like how lite it is. But when I logged into my account, it downloaded/installed everything that I have on my Nexus 4. Is there a way to disable this and/or manage each device separately?

Can't be 100% certain with 4.2 but I've setup 4.1 and 4.0 enough times and during the setup screen there should be two boxes:

1) Back up all crap to Google account (you can keep that checked)
2) Restore all my crap from Google account (UNCHECK)

If you check #2, it downloads EVERYTHING you have on your other devices for which you have option #1 checked. Not sure how it deals with multiple devices and multiple app libraries. Perhaps its all merged into 1 giant pool. What's worse is you can't pick what apps you want or whatever.

I'm not 100% sure if this option exists in 4.2, but I think it does. My Nexus 10 didn't download anything, but my NExus 4 downloaded everything because I quickly went through the setup and probably left #2 checked. I had to stop it manually.

Google needs to fix this. I see the benefit in allowing you to restore saved passwords, saved wifi networks, etc, but to auto download 900 apps? What if I'm on 4G LTE? Goodbye 2GB limit?

The screen on this thing is incredible, and I'm coming from (IMHO) one of the best smartphone screens to date, the SGS2. Between my wife's iPhone 4 and the Nexus 4, I'm completely sold on high ppi screens. Colors aren't as saturated as SAMOLED, everything looks like a solid print - hardly any aliasing that you can actually discern.

It "feels" thicker than the SGS2, but in reality isn't. I suppose the fact that the SGS2 was thinner in the middle section sort of hid that. I'm a fan of the glass back with the rubberized sides. I don't plan to use a case, but I might get a bumper.

The one issue I'm having is that most of the pictures I've taken look out of focus, or at least, very softly focused. I'm hoping this is a software issue, because my phone is my primary camera since it's always on me.

Yeah the camera is decent at best. I can tell from the screen already that my iPhone 5 produces much better photos. However the Nexus 4 photos look mostly inline with my SGS2. Maybe worse, but I haven't really gone on a photo spree yet. I tend to resort to my iPhone 5 for photos now lol. At least we got a huge bump from the Galaxy Nexus.

Could be premature. I hated how people said the Gnex had a "better low light" camera than the SGS2 at first. Really just 1 review but then that spread into how good the GNex was despite having 5 MP. At the end of the day when the real reviews came out and from real world use, that camera was totally deficient.

Finally got everything setup on ST. For those on here using a Nexus with ST, what are your APN settings? Do you have one or two? The guide I found suggested using one for data and one for MMS, though since I use Google Voice for everything I'm not sure if that even applies to me.
