nexus 4 on tmo. I saw these speeds in nyc, dc, and orlando. at home in pittsburgh it's usually around 10-12.
200MB is borderline too close and I don't want her to pay overage fees at $0.10/MB which seems ridiculous...2GB is too high. Maybe if there was a 400-500MB plan, that would be excellent.Lothar: Each line on T-Mobile's value plans has their own data plan, texts and minutes are shared, but data is per line.
They may have removed it, but I was able to put my mom on a 200mb plan (no throttling) for 5 bucks, since she doesn't need 2GBs. Hell, I don't even need 2GBs.
It's probably the Post-paid Value plan.Is this on the prepaid value plan or one of their more traditional post paid plan?
It's probably the Post-paid Value plan.
T-Mobile Value plans are not prepaid from my understanding.
Value Plan: post-paid, BYOD pricing
Classic Plan: post-paid, subsidized phone pricing
What are the exact details of your plan?
Each line how much data, how much shared minutes, value plan or classic plan?
My mom and two brothers are on this plan: Classic Plan with 1500 shared minutes, unlimited text, weekend, and T-Mobile to T-Mobile minutes.
Line #1: $99.99
Line #2: $0 (First line is free)
Line #3: $10.00(each line after the first free one has $10/month access charge)
= $109.99/month. My mom has been paying this same price for 3 years and never renewed the contract for free or subsidized phones on each line which has been long overdue.
All are feature phones...Well, my brother bought an LG G2X for $20 from some homeless guy on the street(probably stolen?) 2 months ago but disables mobile data on it.
I have her Nexus 4 sealed up in my bedroom for Christmas.
Will probably move her and my brothers over from the Classic Plan to Value Plan.
I went to T-Mobile's website and priced out this Value Plan: 1000 shared minutes, unlimited text, weekend, and T-Mobile to T-Mobile minutes.
Line #1: $59.99 + $10/month "unlimited plus"(I assume this is 2GB data?)
Line #2: Free + $10/month "unlimited plus"
Line #3: $5 Add a line fee + $10/month "unlimited plus"
= $94.98/month.
I'm confused about the $10/month "unlimited plus"...So is each phone going to have their own 2GB data or are all lines sharing the same monthly 2GB data allowance?
That said, "unlimited plus" isn't needed on my younger brother's line since he still uses a feature phone. The other brother with the LG G2X, not sure if he wants it or not...He seems fine using WiFi, so all together that's an extra $20/month that could potentially come off that $94.98/month price to bring it down to $74.98 if needed be.
It's a shame that you're only given the choice of 1,000 shared minutes or Unlimited. They can all share that, but if I ever decide at any point in time to re-join them; 1,000 minutes won't be enough for 4 people. 1,500-2,000 minutes for 4 people? Sure. We're not ones to yap on the phones all day.
You have to flash a mod or ROM. This is one of the real steps back in 4.2.Is there a way to combine the notification bar and navigation bar on the nexus 10. Most other tablets seem to have them combined and it seems like a waste of space to have them separate, but I couldn't find the option.
Can any Nexus/Android expert help me out? My thread is under *nix Software forum. Link below.
Android: Can someone explain to me its folder structures?
Maybe Google needs to work more with the manufacturers with regards to design and QA. The one fatal design flaw with the Nexus 7 is that the speaker is just too weak to be useful. This should have been addressed early in the design process. I can forgive this on a phone, but the Nexus 7 isn't a phone.
ie. Instead of just last minute conversions of 3rd party products, they should design the Nexus line with the manufacturers from the ground up.
I think they do. It's just that the OEM also releases the product as their own model and sells it to the carriers as well. The Nexus is an unlocked phone and is going to be relatively low volume for that reason - I think part of the reason they can get unit costs down low enough for Google to sell it at $299 is because the OEM also sells it as a carrier-locked model.
I disagree. The Asus MeMO 370T appeared at shows with specific feature set, and then disappeared completely... and then reappeared later as the Nexus 7, but with the feature set changed.
