I was reading some of the posts and people are having problems with connections. I was experiencing those problems myself and read online to turn off the media server function for the ps3 under network settings. Since I turned it off, I have had zero issues with connectivity. Hope this helps for people who are annoyed like I was.

On another topic what is the best way to take down a helicopter. It is impossible to hit them with tracer darts or an rpg if they are moving a lot. Anyway have a surefire way to take them down?

Also after shooting a tracer and getting points for the hit, I can never get my rpgs to lock on. how do you guys do that?

I'm not sure how some are so good at taking down the choppers, but you need to hold the RPG (while zoomed in) over the tracered target until the red stops flashing and you get a solid tone.

I got the game a week ago, pretty fun. I play in a 3 man squad with a coworker and his friend, it really makes a big difference.

Question we have: do vehicle perks only apply to the driver, or do gunners/passengers apply as well?

Example: if I'm driving the tank with the extra weapon package and my friend is the gunner with the uparmor package, do we get the uparmor in addition to me having the coax gun?

for private matches you need a min of 8 people. sigh.. they dont make things easy in this game.

there is 6 of us.. so now we cant play a ranked game and now we cant play a private game.... this game really does not promote playing with friends...

its either 4 or 8 nothing in between.

We invited him to the game and for that one game he was on the other team. But when it swapped him over between rounds, it joined him into the squad. The list of squad mates in the corner was almost off the screen, lol.

Needless to say, we got the gold squad pin every round.

Yeah, they need a better party system in the game. Why can't I and 6 friends group up and then join a game together? Put us in two different squads, whatever, but this whole "4 only!" thing is annoying...

Well, if someone on your friend's list joins your game, it will put them on the same team if possible during that game, but will for sure after that round is over. I assume if the squad is full it will still move them to your team, but I'm not sure.

Maybe you could make an 8 man squad.

we kind of found a work around for more than 4 players....
it seems once you get everyone into the game(which can be the tricky part)
if everyone quits squads and does not search for one(ie just play alone).. you can talk to everyone else that is alone.. we had 6 player communication last night..

it also seems everyone that is not in a squad can win best squad. since we kept winning it.

i understand this hurts your advantage of a squad... but if you have more than 4 and you want to play this should work.. we did this on the ps3...

Still, I agree, it should be easier to talk/join up with your buddies when in-game. Typically we all just join one big XBL party so we can chat, easier that way.

picked this game up over the weekend (gamestop was having some extra promotion for trade ins).

Pretty fun so far, played for a few hours; got to rank 1 with the assault, the new weapon makes a world of difference over the starting one. Definitely a huge difference in play style from MW2, took me a few matches to get used to the game engine and style of play needed to be successful.

One question I have is, how do you shoot down the UAV? It's so small and my bullets never seem to hit it or do any damage. Same with the blackhawk helicopters, takes forever to shoot down; and since the engineer's RPG is unguided that doesn't work too well either.

You have to shoot them down with alot of bullets (the UAV that is). It can be tough but it's possible.

One thing that helps is to aim at the UAV and hit the Back button (you can do this on any enemy). This will "tag" them and they will appear on everyone's HUD and mini-map. You get points for tagging enemies that are killed (the tag dissappears after like 10-15 seconds, you can retag them).

As for the helicopters if you can hit them with a tracer dart (VERY tough to do) then your teammate's rockets will automatically head toward them. Otherwise the vehicles and stationary Heavy Machine Guns are the best method of destroying them. If you're an engineer you have rocket launchers but if the choppers move fast they're tough to hit.

Yeah, the starting AK-47 for the assault class is probably the worst weapon for the class while the XM8 Prototype is one of the best. I have more kills with it than anything and I haven't used it in forever...

I play more with the medic class now (healing/resurrecting teammates = massive points) but assault is my overall favorite probably.
