I just sold my mw2 on amazon. i was debating selling my system all together and getting a ps3 b/c i believe the support is so much better. but i recently purchased some turtle beach x41 headsets so that is making me want to stay with the 360 for now.

i don't have any games now but was seriously considering BC2. I, like a lot of people, loved everything about the gameplay of MW2 and hate everything about the lone wolf prospect and not using team efforts. everyone says bc2 is totally a team sport but then i hear that some people still run into matches with nothing but snipers and lone wolf types.

i'm a team work kind of guy. i don't care if i have to be the medic and not get a lot of kills in the game. i like to approach each game like a real life situation and work as a TEAM. I haven't played BC2 yet but I might rent it from blockbuster on friday to play.

I'd really like to add everyone on my friend's list that plays like a team and communicates via MIC in a mature way. I don't want immature people who like to use racial slurs and call people stupid for doing something wrong. So if you guys want to send me a PM or just post here if you play like that i'd really like to get an online game with you.

I've got high hopes for this game as a realistic and team work oriented high pace experience. I really hope i'm not let down like i was with mw2.

- Want ability to turn killcam off. I don't need to stare at the guy who killed me for 5 seconds. Let me skip that nonsense and get to my kit customization and spawn selection.

- How about some spawn protection? I read somewhere that you get 1.5 seconds of spawn protection, but I have to call bullshit. There's just no way. Way too many times I've spawned right into the shit of it and been insta-killed. And I've killed plenty of people the moment they spawn.

- Consoles need the same patch the PC got where that stupid horn in Conquest doesn't blast constantly once you're about to lose. I get the picture after the first two blasts. No need to deafen me.

- Game needs a real lobby system. You're in a game with 23 other players, but you're only able to talk to 3 of them. That's really, REALLY stupid. I want to be able to talk to anyone on my team whenever I want, and talk to the other team between rounds. Default my comm channel to my squad, but let me press up on the D-pad to talk to my whole team.

- I need SQUAD SELECTION. It really sucks when I'm dumped into a squad of lone wolf snipers who think they're playing Modern Snipefest 2. Better yet, don't put snipers into squads. If you want to join a squad, you have to play a real class. <ducks>

- There is substantial respawn lag. ie, when your spawn timer runs out, there's a lag between READY and actually spawning. This does not exist on the PC version. Makes my blood pressure skyrocket when I'm mashing the A button to get back into the action and I'm staring at the stupid READY message.

- Red Dot sights suck. They're not any better than the iron sights. Hate to say it, but MW2 RD FTW.

These are gripes that have built up over 6 hours or so of playing. Still loving the game and don't intend to put it down any time soon. My only dilemma when I play is trying to decide which version to play. After 2.5 years of COD4, I actually prefer the gamepad over the keyboard/mouse. But GD the PC version looks bloody stunning!!!

There is a small amount of spawn invulnerability because I've stabbed someone the instant they spawned and it did nothing.
Killcam off? Play hardcore.
The horn is annoying as shit.
Lobby is =/=, but I don't think it is needed on consoles.
Squad Selection would be nice, like KZ2 sort of.

I'm good enough that if I'm on a roll, I'll have a bunch of fun games where I do well. But if I'm not 100&#37; on it, then all the damn level 70 fuckers will kill me 20 times with a quick spray and I don't have a prayer. I'm a good sport, but if I die 20 times and only get 5 kills, it's just not fun.

I don't think I should have to play hardcore just so I don't have to sit through the kill cam. Teamwork is so much more difficult in HC because of the hidden map, so I really prefer regular mode. Given that the killcam is supposedly there for the victim's benefit/advantage, it's not unreasonable for the victim to be able to bypass it or disable it entirely.

I don't think the demo is still active. I'm pretty sure you can still download it, but it's not playable.

But to answer your question, even if it was playable, no you would not get an idea if it was better than MW2. The demo was awful and not at all representative of the final product.

I had off work yesterday and decided to play a little around noon or so. Bad idea.

In the past, I only played nights and some weekends, and I found the competition to be very diverse.

Playing at noon on a weekday, though, and it was just a bunch of ridiculously good players at high levels who repeatedly destroyed me. I quit out and joined a different game a couple times, all with the same situation. Oh well.

I'm probably going to catch some flack for this but a bunch of my friends got BC2 for their 360's and i'm on the fence about it because these were the same friends that told me to get MW2 and I've been loving sniping in that game... er... sniping in general really.. I played BF2 for a long time on my PC and really hated the whole idea of spawn camping, that aspect of the game really ruined the game overall for me...


What is any better about BC2 than MW2?

Hello Kitty island is better than MW2.

There is no spawn camping in BC2 per say, but as you walk outside of the spawn on certain maps, you can pretty much instantly be killed if your team is retarded, as is 90&#37; of the userbase from my experience.

In Rush it's virtually non-existent. The attackers' base camp is off-limits to the defenders, and the defenders are so concentrated around the objectives that it's hard enough to arm a bomb, let alone spawn kill. Further mitigating spawnkilling is the fact that you can spawn from the glory hole of anyone in your squad.

Conquest is a bit different: spawnkilling can happen, since both teams have access to the other team's deployment, but rarely is it advantageous to do it. You pretty much need to hold each flag before it's worth spawnkilling the other team (at which point not only does it make sense to spawnkill, it's really all that's left to do). But if one team tries to dominate the other team's base without holding all of the flags, then they'll end up making it pretty simple for that team to take each of the points.

So is spawnkilling 100% out of the picture? No, of course not. But it's a damn good system and probably as good as it will ever be. I've engaged in spawnkilling, but only after my team has captured the whole map in Conquest. Once that happens, there's nothing else to do but march into your opponents Base Camp and rape butt. And to be honest, if the other team is that bad that they allow this to happen, they deserve it. I've been the victim once or twice, too, and I was far more frustrated by my own team's pathetic performance than the fact that our enemies were in our spawn. But again, this whole scenario is RARE.

Got back from vacation and played a few games this morning. I really am enjoying the game alot more now. I am a bit bummed, it seems to give alot of connection errors though (dropping games, not connecting to EA servers). Also, the day before I left I played a good bit and then lost my connection (guess they were updating the EA servers that night) and it didn't save ANY of my progess...much

Also, when I left I was in the middle of the next to last mission on the campaign, when I got back and continued my campaign it fired me up on mission #3 or so...not a big issue as you can choose your mission but it said I already completed the next to last mission (and I had the achievement w/no date)...just an oddity.

Overall it's alot of fun though. I still am not great with the controls/gameplay but it'll come...someday.

The other night I was on defense (rush) and I was the only player on my team which was not recon. We were ran over, it was disgusting.

The sad part is, I got tired of it and switched over to recon (was close to a new rifle) and had the top score within 3 minutes of switching over, so not only were we full of recon guys and completely unable to defend, but they weren't actually doing their job.

Quite frustrating.

Yeah man, Glad your back definitely good rounds. Again playing with competent people really adds to the game and really shows how much it truly excels and how much you can dominate. During those matches being the top player was extremely common and I hardly even touched the objective, on medic just popping medpaks for ppl trying to arm the objective and reviving fools to defend the objective. Switching to engineer and laying down mines preventing tanks from even getting close to the objective. I had an awesome time nothing like taking out a tank with 3 ppl in it and watching the score just rise.

I also never play recon, I need to be up in the midst of the battle doing something. Only time I play recon is with the thompson and C4 to take out buildings and tanks. Basically play it as a hybrid assault/engineer.

KillCam Off - I have no problems with this, because if I get sniped I like to know from where. Plus it gives me something else to stare at other than the respawn timer. Doesn't move fast enough.

How about some spawn protection? - NOOOOOOOO. Killzone suffered from this early on. Don't need one person rushing in on an objective and the rest of the squad spawning in at the same time knowing they have 1.5 secs of invincilbity and using that to own all the defenders. NO THANK YOU. Perfect how it is.

Real lobby System - Don't care much for this. I really ever talk to anyone else other than my squad anyway and I really dont need to hear the losing team being called those colorful names or noobs or whatever else comes out of ppl's mouth these days, don't get me started on the music ppl blaze over the mic JUST CAUSE THEY CAN!!!!!

SQUAD SELECTION - Agreed. Though its not really that much of a big deal cause I am not afraid to cuss out the rest of the squad for sitting in the back doing nothing. Get a Mic and watch ppl listen to you. just be nice and reasonable with your cussing

Red Dot sights suck - Red dot sites OWNS but I have met ppl who prefer the iron sights so to each his/her own. In MW2 I preferred the iron sites on certain guns myself and I don't mind it on some lmg's especially when I want to go heal spec medic.

Recon is a difficult class to play well, and until I score the Magnum ammo, I only play it in HC. If I'm not "on", I suck it up pretty bad... and by "on" I mean one-shotting your targets and rarely missing. Every shot you fire gives away your position, and if the other team has any good snipers, it's even more difficult to get a groove going.

And while you can get points spotting, it's difficult to rise to the top of the scoreboard in this class. The support functions of the other classes yield far more points than spotting. To get credit for a spot, someone needs to kill the target. A medic, on the other hand, just needs to drop a pack in the action and he'll get continuous points all day long just for breathing.

In HC I play Recon and Assault and in regular mode I mostly play Medic with some Assault here and there. I don't play Engineer that much. Following bullet-magnets around to repair them is a) boring and b) hazardous. Shame, because I'd love to get my hands on the Gustav.
