I'm like you. The only issue I had was in my first game. It split my party up on different teams, even though the game wasn't even close to being full. After that, it has been a great experience.

The game launched in Europe just a few hours ago. I'm not surprised that the servers are screwed again.

A couple more gripes with the game:

1) Glitches in is the solo campaign, obviously huge bugs. Like I couldn't proceed in the mission kind of bugs.

2) Hand to hand combat is stupid as hell. Its frustrating and adds no value. If they were going to include CQB they should have set up controls for such. The way its implemented now just doesn't work.

Other than the server problems and some occasional lag issues...I'm loving this game (multiplayer). Only played ~20 minutes of single player...so I can't speak to that.

I tried to play again last night. I really want to like this game. I'm kinda tired of the CoD formula. But even when the servers were "up" I still kept getting kicked out of games and other errors saying "the session is no longer available." EA really blows.

For the few matches I was able to play, I thought conquest was pretty boring. The action is just too spread out. I don't find it fun to capture control points against no resistance and getting less than 10 kills in the whole 30 minute match.

Rush is the only game type I think that works on the console. But then again 80% of the players are idiots who don't play the objective. I have seen rushers literally standing next to unarmed MCOMs for 20 seconds doing nothing but camp. This should improve once people learn how to play though.

This will be a vastly better game in 6 months. Server problems will be long behind, bugs will be fixed, everything will be rebalanced and most of the idiots will be gone.

This still feels like a beta. It's just riddled with so many bugs, most of which on their own don't ruin the experience but taken together it just leaves a very bad first impression. They just rushed it out the door when it needed another few months in the oven.

Check back in March.

This is the problem with they are focused with competing against MW3 and not focused on making a good, polished game. This will just hurt them because unless MW3 is a major disappointment, all the broken and problems plaguing BF3 will have people leaving with a bad taste and looking for something better. $60 is a steep price to have to deal with so many problems right now.

It's not broken. It's just not fully assembled. I still have constant sound drop outs. The screen flashes green. My controls stop responding randomly. Knifing works about a third of the time. Tanks can be invincible and/or rockets not work. My sights drift when I have my thumbs off the sticks because there's no deadzone. It's almost impossible to get even the small party of 4 into the same game. I can't leave a game after its done until waiting 2 minutes for the next game to load. The interface is slow and unresponsive at times. It sometimes spawns on a different squad member than the one you selected. They switched controls from BC2 for no apparent reason.

That's just off the top of my head.

They didn't have enough time to finish the game and play test it. All of this is fixable, and probably will be fixed. If someone is a huge BF fan they're probably just happy to play it and can overlook most of this stuff for the time being. But there's no question this game is still in rough shape.

The SP is horrible. I mean, really bad. Story is ripped off from CoD BO for the most part, and it feels like the whole game is on rails. Not just the flying mission...everything. The CoD games do a great job of making it an illusion that you aren't being funneled. BF3 goes from being funneled, and into rails territory.

The MP is awesome, saving the server issues. It's not the same as CoD, and it isn't supposed to be. The pacing is different, requires planning, and teamwork works. You can have average FPS'ers that play as a team and communicate that can hold down the fort against a team of individually great FPS'ers that don't have mics on. Something rarely possible on MW.

This happened the only night I got to play BF3 MP. A friend I were doing awesome in K/D, and trying to get stuff done. But the rest of the team was mic less. And it showed. We kept loosing to average shooters.
And yes, the losses were deserved. Teamwork paying off is way cool.

They're not knocking it cause it's like CoD, they're knocking it because it's a really bad copy. It lacks the excitement and the pacing of CoD.

Specifically on the tank level after meeting up with the engineers, I was told to get bank in the tank . Ran around for ten minutes trying to get in various tanks. Nothing. No waypoints helping me nothing. I quit.

The way its implemented now just doesn't work. Screen says press B button. I hit B button I get murdered. Restart mission get to this point again this time i hit B button rapidly. I get murdered. Restart mission again, this time I press and HOLD b button and I kill the guy. Fucking stupid. The screen should say press and HOLD B button. or just remove this altogether because holding down a button is hardly a skill that makes me feel like "I'm in control" of my character. GAY>

Yeah. I actually think conquest would be a lot more fun if squads would coordinate and defend a control point after they've taken it. I've also noticed hardly anyone is using the voice chat. Not having a commander, like in BF2, also hurts the coordination aspect of the game.

I finally got some time in, playing MP. I went with regular TDM, picked the first server in the list, and went in.

Overall had a LOT of fun. Seems with TDM that people don't camp as much as they did playing Rush in the Beta. I also had no issues connecting to the server and subsequent matches.

I'm sure you all have seen the message on the multiplayer menu saying that they are having issues with the Quick Match feature and to just use the server browser.

Looking forward to playing some SP on Saturday night!

The campaign for MW2 was shit. Good gameplay, but the story was bad.
CoD BO actually had a decent story.
