I cant believe anyone bought this game for single player. The single player disk hasn't left it's sleeve yet and most likely never will. Battlefield (and CoD for that matter) have never ever been good single player games and never will.
I'm playing multiplayer only on the 360 and have had nothing but joy! Pure unbridled joy that I have not felt playing a game for a good 3 years at least. Yes it's only 24 players but they have done a great job of scaling the maps. Most maps are dominated by how well the infantry does with any help from vehicles being an added bonus. This is EXACTLY how it should be! Tanks etc are not hard to take down at all once you level up engineer a bit. Seriously a couple of AT mines does the trick, occasionally requiring an RPG to finish the job. Easy to do solo, super simple with any form of coordination with team/squad members.
Normally I only play engineer type classes, but I am in fact enjoying all the classes, they are all useful in their own way. Honestly apart from the initial load on EA's servers and yes that you can't quit without going to dashboard, I really think its an awesome game. Well-balanced (though that could change when everyone has unlocked all the kits), awesome visuals, amazing sound and a gritty feeling to it all. Best of all is the smoke! After an intense firefight around a flag, visibility is down to almost nothing with flaming reckage and smoke behaving in a realistic way ... the last game that felt this real was that Delta Force game which had 120 players per map (forgot its name).
In a year or so when the PC version becomes super cheap I'll probably buy that too, but right now all my friends are on the XBOX version which I was unsure about after the beta, but I have zero regrets now apart from the lack of sleep resulting from the game
