Hmm well, the SEC has won 3 since 98, and if Auburn hadnt gotten screwed out of a chance to play for it, it might have been 4. That isnt too shabby.

Yes, I agree please tell us which conference has more since '98???

Amen. Having OSU and Notre Dame lose was cake. Texas losing would have been icing on that cake, but you can't have everything!

SEC has the most talent for a while & the players in the NFL show it. These are 2005 Numbers.

TOP SCHOOLS w/ Players in the NFL

1. Florida State (ACC) 42
2. FLORIDA (SEC) 37
TENNESSEE (SEC) 37
4. GEORGIA (SEC) 35
Ohio State (BIG 10) 35
6. Michigan (BIG 10) 34
7. Miami (Fla.) (ACC) 33
8. AUBURN (SEC) 31
9. LSU (SEC) 30
Notre Dame (Independent) 30

CONFERENCES

1. SEC 261
2. ACC 231
3. Big Ten 223
4. Pac-10 188
5. Big 12 176
6. Big East 88
7. Conference USA 71
8. Mountain West 68

Shows that the southeast (ACC & SEC) has a lot of talent in football not to mention basketball.

Hahaha!! Where is BigJelly now? Starting a charity to send jackets to the inhabitants of Hell? News flash: Hell has not frozen over.

Props to SophalotJack for pointing out the self-ownage in the other thread.

BTW, as a fan of neither team I can honestly say the game was a huge letdown. I lost interest after the first half (channel surf through most of it too). Didn't even watch the 2nd half. The Biose State game was much more exciting.

Congrats Florida even though you played one of your easiest game this season.

we should do this by state.

anyway, vince young gained more yards by himself last year than BOTH of this year's teams combined (467 v. 452). if the texans hadn't been retarded and won some games last year, he probably would have killed floriduh (my speculation is that, if not for the texans having the number 1 pick, he would have stayed and gotten that heisman he should have won)

By State? Florida would still win. If you mean talent coming out of HS, I'd say it'd be FL, Texas, Cali, Ohio in some order.

i mean high school ball

anyway, we can also stop hearing about how championship games keep teams from appearing in the BCS title game. only time where a team was projected to be in the title game and then lost its conference champ game, that team was still in the title game anyway (and got blown out by another team that went through a conference champ game).

I still can't believe there were people wanting to see a replay of Michigan and Ohio State. You know ESPN analysts would be calling it the greatest game of all time too. And even if both teams don't play defense they'll say it's because of their AMAZING offenses. *shudder* sorry, that would have been an absolute nightmare.

I don't remember anyone saying SEC teams suck.

And just for perspective, the SEC's record against the Big Ten in bowls this year is 0-2.

Both are good conferences.. Can't we just agree on that and stick to the game?

HEHE i love stats

OSU vs SEC in bowl games ...... 0-8 hahahahahahahahahahahaahhaha
