Seems decent enoough for a demo. I would really like to be able to play at wide screen resolutions though... Thats really all that is bothering me. Editing the .con video file for 1920x1200 sends be back to the desktop.

I cant get it to work for more than 15 minutes without locking up, im using the latest xp64bit drivers from nvidia and have even tried the beta, no go

What's up with the damn sniper gun in this game? I set up shop underneath the trains in the middle of the map, and focused on a spawning hotspot of the enemy. Must've been their only one, because they were swarming. I shot no less than 30 rounds, and I only killed one guy. I tried aiming directly at the body/head and firing, it was a no-go. I then tried leading a bit, still a no-go. Tried leading more, still a no-go. I even shot 3 or 4 guys who stood still long enough for me to get a shot off, still a no-go. How many shots from the sniper rifle does it take to down someone? It seems like I get killed a LOT by single shots from out of nowhere.

And that's another thing that pissed me off about this game, is that when you get killed, you do not get to see who killed you. It aggravates the fvck out me when I'm just running along, and all of a sudden I'm dead staring at the sky. I nearly punched my monitor once I was so mad. This game is awesome when you're doing good, but infuriating as hell when you can't even get 20 feet away from spawn.

I have that except actual 3200+. I run at max settings, except shadows off cause theyre bugged.

The bullet drops over distance like real sniping.

finally got it dl'd and this thing will be a definite buy for me. runs and looks great. the firing does seem a bit erratic but i haven't tried the sniper yet. and the key layout is a pita but thats minor.

Looks like ass at any res below 1600x1200 (native on 2001FP) and NEEDS FSAA.

The demo is kind of a bore because of the time constraints but the game still has potential.

Anyone having any luck editing the video con files so you can get the widescreen resolutions? I have tried all the video con files I can find and have changed the res to 1440x900 and still no luck. Right now I am using 1180x864 or whatever that res is.

It is working fine on my Dell 9300(1.73, 512, 6800go oc'd of course). 4x AA and at med details. It could def use more ram. Would like to see a laptop modded set of 77.30's(hint, hint)

My desktop is running it great at 16x12 4xAA maxed out. 3200@2.45, 1gb, 6800 GT OC. Did change to the 77.30's that came with the game. Have not tried any other game to see how these work though.

Didn't have problems with my x800 pro with cat 5.6's. But I really didn't play too long, this game looks too complicated for my dumbass

I tried the same thing and no go. Video.con, you have failed me!

Playing just fine with a 6600GT.

I really like sprint.....double tab W.

Gulf Of Oman map is superb...hopefully the rest are as well.....doesn't benefit any one playstyle (sniping, vehicles, infantry)

I also like that players aren't made of glass. In BF1942 it was a shot or two and they were down. In BF2 you need to put 5 or 6 rounds in a guy before he falls.

I hate the "face up staring at the sky when you get killed" but I can see how it makes the game more realistic...i.e. use the death cam to spot your assailant for revenge.

Sound effects are freaking amazing.

I've played 10 rounds and have been top score 5 times. I love these games before the cheaters get to them cause I dominate.

A64 3000+ @ 3500+
1GB DDR400
6600GT

Game runs 1024x768 with medium/high details plenty smooth. If you want to play with everything on high, you WILL need more than 1GB of RAM.

AA is essential. Like all other Battlefield games, this one is jagged as hell around the edges when raw.

Mine wasn't, worked fine. May want to try again considering the speeds you were getting.

Guess I'll stick with them settings. Can't see myself getting another gb just for this game. I'll upgrade to 2gb on my next upgrade toward the end of the year. Besides I would have to sell my 2x512 and buy 2x1gb so I can stick with DDR400. From what I heard on NF4/Winchesters if I try to add 4x512mb I am limited to DDR333.

The game runs great on my x800xl A64 3000+ @ 3400+1GB DDR400.

Sucks to hear all the nvidia people having issues. Ironic eh?
