I just went to my local BB, and not only did they give me a hard time about buying the stuff (Emachine, Radeon, and hard drive), they hand wrote on the order that no pricematching could occur on 11/26-28. I asked the McMoron where that policy was posted. He said it was on the flyer. I asked to see the flyer, he said I wasn't allowed to see it. At which point I argued that I'm not taking his word for it, and to give me a new receipt without his scribble. Now two managers join the fray and explain that's the policy, although it's posted nowhere. I ended up making them void the entire sale.

I'm sorry, but anyone who boycotts a company because of such things should just end himself. i'll give you a clue: unless the company is in a really heavily democrat controlled area they're probably going to be 'GOP backers' because the GOP holds a lot of powerful positions nationally. if and when the democrats take back a bunch of power you'll see their donations go up accordingly.[/quote]

You don't follow politics very closely, do you? You're about 30% right and 70% wrong on that one.

Is that the ad for Black Friday or just today?

Glad you asked, I originally thought they were for BF but after checking again they are for today only. Thank God as there really weren't any deals.

Yikes! That's the first that I've heard of this happening. I know that it doesn't help you any, but I hope that it's just an isolated incident.

It really seems as though the stores and the general public are becoming really aware of the tactics that we use to get deals. I hope that the stores don't try and close the loopholes in their policies that we take advantage of.

Come on guys... there are some branded Cyberhome or Norcent and then there's the Target no-name one and there's the Best Buy Magnavox. Are none of those really hot ?

Move away, you Flaming Republicans & Girlie Democrats

I came here to see what's on sale, not to read your retarded political comments.

Yay! Yet ANOTHER example of the customer-service-circus that is BestBuy. They make up "store policy" as they go along, apparently with the primary goal of customer dis-service. Remember, their goal this holiday season, is to drive away nearly 20% of their customers. Way to go BestBuy! You're almost there!

ummm... not hardly. corporations pretty much all give out based on schedules. incumbents and people in power get more money than those that don't. the democrats don't have so many incumbents or people in power, so they get less. the reason they do this is so that they can say they're being fair and rational to whichever politician isn't getting as much money.

tell me why the no-name challenger to, say, senate majority leader should get as much money?

Well, as an update to this whole mess, in case anyone cares, I got home and took a closer look at the BB flyer. NOWHERE on the flyer does it say ANYTHING about not price matching during the Black Friday sale hours. So I called up and asked what the story was. The woman got her manager, and after speaking with him, told me that yes, indeed they would price match as long as I came in within the hours of the sale. I got her name, and ran back to BB. Upon speaking with her again, she brought me her manager, who assured me that he hasn't seen the ad, but in past years the ad had said there would be no price matching (which is BS). I asked if there is any policy as to why people were writing on my receipt, he said no, and had me point out who had done that (as if he was going to do anything to them). He told me that he couldn't promise they'd price match if the computer locked them out from doing so, but to buy the m'dise, and try to price match on Friday. I got dirty looks from several employees as the got the E-Machine system off the top shelf, as well as another saying "They're not going to price match this you know...there are signs all over the store saying they won't be taking returns until noon." Fine, put the box on my cart, jackass, and move along.
I guess I'll find out tomorrow what's going to happen. The signs say no returns, but a PM isn't a return, so i'm sure it'll be an argument, but I'm not giving up the fight.

Well, they may PM the machine on Friday, but probably won't let you return/rebuy. The computer is priced no differently on Friday than it was on Wednesday. The entire savings is in rebates. So there won't be any PM to do.....it's the same price every day.

In response to the person looking at the Belkin router, we have a Belkin 54g wireless router for $7.99 after rebates (Circuit City).

Hope you like our deals. Happy Thanksgiving to all.

Does anyone know if any of CompUSA's deals will be available online? Specifically I'm looking at the Nero 6.3 Ultra Edition for $39.99 ($19.99 AR). In the ad, the front page was in-store only, but I didn't see anything about whether the rest of the deals were in-store only or online too. Thanks in advance.

Hey, does anybody know if the Panasonic 5050 5.8 Ghz phone at Office Max, is the $40 rebate an OM rebate? If so, there's also a $20 rebate on that phone from panansonic.

I believe it is an Panasonic rebate since every store have the 40 MIR. I would suggest you either buy it from fry for 9.99 after rebate or pricematch it to fry.
