We went to Best Buy in town at 10:30pm last night and we were first in line.

A few moments after we arrived a group of 10 showed up. They were cool and we had a pretty good time.

We're in Minnesota and it was cold outside...let me tell you.

It was frickin' cold in Iowa too (~20F). Arrived at about 11pm but decided to wait in the car as no one was really showing up yet. Got out of the car at about 12.5am and proceeded to freeze my nuts off 'till 5am. But man was it worth it!

1x MAG 19" for $154, 2x MAG 17" for $134 ea, 2x eMachines desktop systems for $135 ea. The prices were lower because the local BestBuy was giving out $15 giftcards for every $100 spent. Made my day

Only sad part was they weren't running the Toshiba lappy. After getting done at BB (they overcharged me $500 somehow!!!), it was too late to try to snag the lappys at Staples or Walmart

For the 5th straight year, I've done my standard buy early, return/rebuy at Best Buy without a problem. Bought the 20" LCD TV, and some of their other door buster specials Wed. night. Wandered into the store about 10:30am this morning, walked up to the customer service counter, walked out in 5 minutes.

The price in the cart is $380. Do you guys think that it will actually ship? I mean, it seems like they obviously don't want you to get it this way online.
Hmm ...
Well, I just ordered it. I guess we'll see what happens.

Maybe I'll try and go pick up the WalMart laptop just incase that BB order gets cancelled, and then sell one if I end up with two.

Just ordered one myself. Did the service contract, the lappy popped up in the cart, then went and removed the service contract from the cart. $423 with tax and shipping......

Bob

Others are stating that the orders are being cancelled. I just tried it and it didnt work.

Edit: anyone get the Toshiba Laptop from BB or CC?

After getting the 200GB internal Seagate and 160GB external SimpleTech at CompUSA at midnight, I went to Best Buy at 7:30am and bought DVDs and software and then went to Office Depot and bought the 1GB SanDisk Cruzer (for tami).

Saw a combo deal this morning @ Fry's for an AMD64 X2 3800+ with an ECS Mobo for $277 . . . which was damned tempting since the X2 3800+ goes for $322 by itself on Newegg . . .

Me too. I asked the guy in there and he said it depends on the item. Doesn't matter anyway, I just spent all my money on my car system.

OMFG black friday was crazy for me. I arrrived at CC at 2, and proceeded to wait in line. I thought, yay I'm like 10th so I'm sure to get some sandisk memory stick pro duos for 20 bucks. Last year, at the same CC, there were about 100 people waiting outside when it opened. This year, there were like 2 thousand people. It was just crazy. I froze my but off for about three hours, and I thought it had paid off. I was waiting in line at the cashier to purchase two 512MB memory sticks when the person two places in front of me bought 10, cleaning out the whole store. I was depressed. I had wasted my time waiting in line for the memory sticks, and I couldn't get even one! The DVD drives were sold out also (19 dollar ones) when I got to them. I then went to staples, pushed my way foward and was able to get some FAR stuff from them, as well as a 5 dollar webcam, so all was not lost. The DVD drives there were sold out too.I ALso bought some speakers for 20 dollars AR and called it a day. Ow ya I got in on the three dollar dvds too. All in all, a horrible black friday for me.

Next year's black friday, I'll wait first in line so I won't have to ged screwed over by some crazy lady again.

got quake 4 for $30, 1GB CF card for $40, 300GB seagate 16MB cache for $70AR, 3 cans of compressed air for $8. Nice day, although I had to wait about 3 hours in line to get to the cashier and 30 minutes to get the shiet rung up. I got in line at 6:50am and got out at around 10:00. Man that was an awesome day.

Pshh, I still think my Black Friday was worse. Maybe you should just boycott Circuit City with me. Or... boycott crazy ladies?

One stupid thing about my local CC is that they made a line for people leaving the store who has purchased merchandise, and I was like the 60th person in line, and it didn't look like it was moving at all. I needed to go to the bathroom real bad, so I just ran past the security gaurds and peed in the bushes near the store.

Damn, yeah, order was cancelled.

I was too tired to try and go out at 3-4AM anyway. Oh well, no laptop for me... guess I'll have to wait for the next sale.

Edit: If anyone got 2 laptops and wants to give me a deal, I'm interested.

I had a great Black Friday.

I showed up at Staples first at 4:30AM. I was about 10th in line I guess. I got everything I wanted:

200GB Maxtor HD = $29.99 after EZ-rebate
Corded phone = FREE after EZ-rebate
Logitec webcam = $5
Minolta 1350W laser printer = $59.99 after EZ-rebate (plus $2 for a 10' USB cable)
Shredder = FREE after EZ-rebate
50 pack of cheapo DVD+R = $2.97 AR
100 pack of HP CD-R = $14 OTD
Some Altec Lansing speakers for $19.99 after EZ-rebate

Then on to CompUSA:
180 printable CD-R's = $19.98
(I missed the $19.99 Hitachi 160GB hard drive deal. Apparently it sold out a few minutes after midnight. I didn't expect they'd still have any left by ~8am anyway).

Finally Best Buy (crazyness)
Bunch of $3.99 DVD's, decent selection too
Pack of 75 DVD's, 25 CD-R's for $2.97 AR

I missed out on the laptop(s) deals, but I got everything else I wanted and I'm very happy overall. That laser printer deal was crazy, doorbuster deal which expired at 10am. The starter toner cartridge is rated for ~1000 pages. I printed out a bunch of stuff so far and the quality and speed are outstanding. I never thought I'd see the day of throw-away LASER printers.

My fiance's stepdad went to the Army Exchange this morning. As he was shopping, they announced over the PA that the store had 20 XBOX360's, and that they would be selling them for half price as long as you had your military ID. Obviously, he wasn't able to get close enough to get one.
