manny ramirez is a freaking idiot....yes, he might be the best right handed hitter of this era, but he is anything but "a pretty cool guy"

Millar had a ton of clutch hits last year, but yes, he is a hack in the field - as is D.Ortiz, their other 1b...as is Manny too. This isn't, by any stretch, a good defensive team...the Passion of the Centerfielder has average range and a weak arm, Tron Nixon, now that he is back, is solid in RF though....

Their pitching is fine - Schill, Martinez, Wake, and Lowe, though Lowe has been shoddy until his last 3 starts, are a very good 1-4 - yes, their 5th spot has been weak, but Kim should clean that up when he returns, and the pen has been solid.

Bellhorn has been very solid, Reese is an excellent defender at 2b or SS, Mueller getting hurt didn't help, but Youk has been solid there......

Really, their only big problem is that they are in the same division as the Yankees, still.

Millar - can't hit for power, for avg. or run.

ramirez is a lazy bum. he looks like he isn't even trying sometimes. i want ramirez for thome trade.

schilling has been anchoring this team. we would be way behind if it weren't from schilling.

arroyo sucks. let's go after freddy garcia. trade millar, arroyo and a prospect for garcia.

Manny on the bases leaves a lot to be desired.

He runs about as fast as old people fVck.

And do any of you Sox fans remember @ the end of the '02 season when the Sox were in Tampa, and he hits a infield ground ball, and he JUST F'ing stands there in the batters box, and never even runs it out..

Still, all of this pales in comparison to Millar and how much of a dead weight he is.

Haven't the sox tried trading manny & had trouble? Really says something about a guy's personality when someone who's that good a hitter can't find a team that wants him. And in all fairness to Boston, the guy is actually from new york city.

Ordonez is on the DL, so what good what that be doing us?
I'd rather have Manny than ARod to be honest.
Bellhorn has been a suitable replacement for Todd Walker, although I still think they should've gave Walker his 3 million. How much are they wasting on Kim/Mendoza, and they can't give chump change to someone who actually wanted to be here??
Damon always gives 100% effort, I have no complaints about him and his supposed 'weak arm'.
Pokey's really impressed me, more than I thought he would've.
Millar is good trade bait, I'll be surprised if he's still here after July 31.
Don't forget, last year, most of these players had career years. Can't compare this year to last.

I think the problem for many Sux fans is that they thought this years team would be last years, plus Schilling. That definitely hasn't been the case. That same "magic" that the 2003 team had just isn't there this year.

Manny made a really nice catch against the left field wall last night. I really don't see how you can say he has no heart, I've seen him play really hard all season long. Nomar on the other hand.....

Anyway, nice win (or should I say pounding) over Zito and the A's. And the Yankees getting drubbed by Detroit made it that much sweeter. Pedro and Schilling over the next two games, we're looking pretty good. Need to carry this momentum over......

Great game tonight, excellent pitching by Arroyo, earning a shutout. With Oaklands loss, we are back in the wild card lead. And to make it even better, Mariano Rivera looked really shaky in his save opportunity, although he lucked out after giving up a run, loaded the bases, and went 3-2 to Baldelli before the idiot fouled out to first.

Arroyo looked really good today. Despite the shaky start in the 1st, he only gave up 3 hits.

Also, 1st Base defense has been a big problem for the Red Sox as of late, but Millar played a hell of a game today.

I heard on the post-game show that Damon is 30 for his last 67, raising his average from like .287 to .319 during the same stretch.

Maribelli just got hit in the elbow, but you don't see him barking at the pitcher, do you? See Yankee fans, that's what's called class, taking the HBP and taking your base, something A-Fraud knows nothing about.

With the back-to-back HR's from Damon and Bellhorn, Contraras's era jumps to 20.25 against the Sox, LOL!!!!!!
