You guys don't have too much to worry about. A couple weeks ago Kerry said his favorite Red Sox player is "Manny Ortez". I didn't hear it outloud, but the newspapers spelled Ortiz as Ortez in the quotation. Also a couple years ago when asked Kerry said his favorite Red Sox player of all time was some guy who never actually played for the Sox.

And the Sox take two out of three in this emotionally draining series for the Yankees. We're on a roll.

I'm pretty sure it was emotionally draining for Boston too. 2 out of 3 does not equal on a roll.

It's not emotionally draining for the one's that win.

If beating up on Tanyon Sturtze and Jose Contreras count as wins to you then congrats. We beat Curt Schilling.

Maybe if you had a better front office those 2 wouldn't be starting!

Or injuries maybe?

Edit: It's also kinda hard to replace losing virtually an entire starting staff.

... and the Sux are still 7.5 games back. Enjoy watching the Yankees from behind for the rest of the season

And we still play the Yankees 6 more times in September. The season, and the Yankees division lead, is far from decided. It's July 26 ffs, PLENTY of time to knock that small lead down. And the way the Yankees pitching staff is right now, it shouldn't be too difficult for other teams to jump on them early and often.

As easy as it has been thus far? Hope springs eternal...

Like I said, a better front office could've prevented that

Haven't the sox tried trading manny & had trouble? Really says something about a guy's personality when someone who's that good a hitter can't find a team that wants him. And in all fairness to Boston, the guy is actually from new york city.

I can scan a Sports Illustrated article on Manny for you to read. It might make you think differently about his personality. Or you can remain ignorant and assume things.

No, the season definitely hasn't been decided, but you have to admit, given that the Yankees starting pitching has been horrible, and that a lot of players aren't playing up to expectations, that the Sox have been a disappointment so far this year.

Any of you Sux fans have the balls to admit that you were rooting for the Yankees to beat the A's? 10 1/2 back, winning the division was only a pipe dream when you were 6 back and now it's a lost cause. The wild card is your only hope and you're all going to be cheering for Jeter, A-rod and the rest of the Bombers whenever they're playing anybody in the wild card race.

It's time for the Red Sux to stop worrying about the Yankees and worry about the AL West.
