There is nothing more furiating than doing a burning run or race, losing because of a wrong turn or crash, then having to drive back. I've hammer fisted my couch many times. Truly a great game though. After two nights I'm 8 wins away from my A license with 28 cars. To bad many are cars I have I wont use after getting it. You should be able to trade it in or choose which care to unlock. Marked Man and Road Rage are so good that I havent had the need to go online yet.

Ahh, I was wondering who the hell soulengineer was.

If there is one problem with this game, it's that nobody is online, or the online system is broken. I think it's the latter.

so strange stuff ...

i got RRoD Saturday afternoon (and it was constantly freezing beforehand) and turned on my 360 like 10 minutes later to get the game out, and it stayed on ... for 4 hours and I played burnout 2 of them. since then it hasn't RRoD once (but did 1 random freeze).

anyways i'm liking burnout pretty much so far. showtime is more fun than i expected it to be however there really is no point (atleast not yet it doesnt seem) because none of the events i've ran into so far have anything to do with it.

the sandbox feel to the game is pretty damn fun when screwing around. i find myself getting side tracked a ton which is fun. the classing of cars is pretty cool and i notice the stunt cars are not nearly as tough as the aggressive ones. it's cool too how you can unlock the other racers cars by taking them out when you see em around the city.

i like the single player so far however, they really, really screwed up the "races" race mode. the lack of a retry just baffles me. also the blinking turn signal thing works like 25% of the time. it's also annoying when you take shortcuts on the main path to your goal that take you a completely different direction. it really makes me not want to take any short cuts in an actual race, which is a shame because they were a huge part of races in revenge. also i've been knocked off the main path a few times by the AI and it's impossible to get back on.

road rage is good as is marked man, however road rage seems way too easy so far (im only class c license) because the most i've had tot ake out is like 6 cars. i think my first one when i had to take out 3 cars I took out like 30+ total getting that 10 in a row achievement. the burnout route i've only done 1 of since it seems like you need specific cars for most of em.

online is pretty badass. i was playing with a group of people saturday and was having a blast w/the challenges and stuff. i definitely need to get into it more however i also wanna tackle the single player mode.

blurredvision i saw your invite last night but i didn't have my mic around and i was just messing around in single player so I can unlock some cars. i'll definitely hop on with you guys at some point.

Im in, but it will take a day or two to get my new copy..

The disc I got from gamefly is borked.. Gets disc read errors after about 2-3 min of play.
(tried on 2 different systems that play everything else just fine)

I'm up for this. I went thru a bunch of 7- & 8-person challenges on Sunday. Except for the lag of some of the other players, it was pretty fun. 10pm-1am EST time frame sounds good to me. Any night, except for Wednesdays, works (not tonight, though).

I'm going for all the smashes/billboards/jumps.

And I'm getting towards the end, I have 7 smashes left, 10 billboards and 8 jumps I think.

Well I notice they tell me when I have completed all smashes in a section, but I don't write it down and forget. Is there any way to know which sections I have completed so I don't continue looking around there?

Personally, I'm going to use that map to get the last 3 jumps I need. I simply can't find them . I've wasted probably 3 hours driving around looking for them.

just look at the map and look at what intersections don't have a colored dot at them. that's how i figured them out. i actually had a bunch of spots in downtown that i hadn't been to, drove through there and got all events yesterday.

im also close to getting the jumps, billboards, and gates.

anyone know if there is a way to tell what jumps you have hit? like with billboards you can see they have holes in them and the gates just don't show up. anything like this with jumps?

There doesn't seem to be. They always have those cones with flashing lights in front of them, even if I've knocked them all over.

as in you havn't found it yet? Because they have check marks on the map if you have completed it.

I havent found one event of the 120 that are there. I've been going to intersections on the map that dont have dots, but there are several that don't have events in them... so who knows.

make sure you do it all offline also, I know it is obvious, but I was confused at first that I was missing any till I realized that it was just places I have been to a bunch but never offline.
