so I've got 32 events left to get my elite license, have finished all the burning routes and marked man events, and have 79/80 cars.
if you asked me after i played the demo if i would have ever put over 60 hours into burnout paradise, i would have laughed right in your face.
after i get my elite and also get the last car, i still have like 90 or so online challenges left to get everything in this game completed heh.

Dayum. Two weekends ago I started working hard to get the Elite License, complete Burning Routes, etc., but the Mass Effect DLC pulled me back into that game.
I had little to no trouble with the Burning Routes until I got to the Watson Revenge and Montgomery Hawker. I gave up on the Revenge for the time being but even the Hawker took me a while. I kept losing by 1 second, it was infuriating!

yah some of the later burning routes were tougher (by later I mean the cars you unlock later in the game that are more right in the list).
the last 5-6 or so I had to do more than once, other than the very last one I got my first try.
the thing i learned is that they aren't as much about as using your boost as they are not crashing.

Yeah, I definitely found that to be the case. Before the Revenge or Hawker I'd say you could easily beat the others without using boost as long as you don't crash. I didn't find this to be the case with these cars, though.

yea the hawker honestly was the toughest one I did I think. that one took me quite a few tries to do, and it was annoying cause it was ALL the way accross the map to get the other one.
the revenge one I think I got my first time, and I remember cause I love that car

well i got the game. i dunno if i like it to much. im not a real big fan of the open city..... only played for an hour so far. but i get lost in every race. and all i do is crash. i have no idea where to turn. i dont like how the mini map is. i would rather have track up then north south. can you change that?
i would rather have a closed circuit race. i dunno...... maybe it will grow on me. prolly wont be playing this one to much. burnout 3 is still my favorite.

haha dude you sound JUST like I did after I played the demo. revenge was my previously most played xbox360 game, i think this one has overtaken it.
just give it some time. when you are supposed to turn in the races the street sign will blink and your turn signal will come on. honestly on a good amount of races I did, i didn't follow the "path" that they tell you to follow. same with the burning routes.
but i played it online a ton doing challenges before i actually did single player mode. i also got all the smashes and billboards before i even got my b or a license i think.
Modeps yah I got a ton of my time online doing challenges and stuff. Honestly though the online races aren't that much fun IMO, they are okay but not as fun as in revenge.

Also, if you have a home theater speaker setup, the blinker sound will emanate from the side of your speakers to tell you which way to turn. For instance, if a left turn is upcoming, then the blinker sound will sound in the left channels of your speaker setup. Pretty neat.
