I used to be able to use mIRC from work. But that was back in the days of Planetside. My outfit had an IRC channel and a fansite for that game (Planetside-universe.com). The good old days of chatting til 6am during the weekends with the characters there. Unfortunately I can't d/l mIRC or set up the client for it now.

That's what Remote Desktop (or Linux/Mac equivalent) is for. Even better, unless they're keylogging, nobody will know what you're doing on your home machine. Assuming of course they aren't blocking all ports except specific ones.
