You should *definitely* stock it and use that baby to make money.
You can make a lot with those things.
My suggestion is try to find a small place that has lots of young people working there, and ask them if you can put in a soda machine (make sure they don't already have one).
Usually the owner won't ask for anything in return; they enjoy having soda available.
And kids drink a crapload of soda.
I know because my dad had a soda machine at an auto body place, which had about 6 guys in the 16-25 range working there, made a bunch of money with it.

Once you get the machine in a place, ask them what flavors they like, and stock those. Replace the cover so that you can use any brand you like.

New ones are worth a good 1200-1500. Used ones such as that one easily fetch 700-800.

 

That's such a cool present. If I were you, I'd go to some kind of convenience store, or other small-time place and ask to have it put there, and offer the owner a cut of the profits.

But, it'd be a lot of work to keep it stocked.

If I do wind up putting it in a frat, as refrenced above:

#1 it is ILLEGAL. you need a license to sell beer in a retail enviroment.
#2 if some underage person gets drunk and crashes their car, i would be held responsible for not enforcing an age limit AND a "cutoff limit"

In FL, you can go bar hopping and if someone manages to seriously injure themselves, they hold the booze vendors responsible

#3 that would be grounds for license revocation

believe it or not, you are liable even if you dont charge for it. IIRC, the exact wording is something to the effect of:

It is UNLAWFUL for anyone under 21 years of age to consume alcoholic beverages...

the wording will vary, because 21 is a state law and not federal. so basically, even if you give it to them for no charge, you are already facilitating them to consume it, which as you already know is illegal.

It looks like it has a spot to add a dollar bill module. According to that one place that was posted in the links here, you can get a dollar bill acceptance module for $130 to $200 and a new face for $150. If you do find a high traffic place for it you'll make a killing. Set the price at 75 cents and it'll sell like hotcakes. I doubt you'd complain about an extra $100 or so in your pocket every month.

Its called a bill validator. Our guys at pepsi can get us one, however IIRC, they only use Dixie Narco units. This is a Vendo. I doubt the parts and computer would be compatible.

BTW, I cant stick this in front of any convenience stores. they already sell single soda cans. and we already sell them single soda cans. Kinda pusing the limit there.
