I get 0 game time on weekends most of the time. 1-2 hrs a week during the week if I'm not busy. There is always a show she needs to watch lol.

I am having a good deal of fun with Destiny so far, but I was expecting, I dunno, more based on the hype, length of development, and especially early descriptions (pre-alpha) about how epic the game would be. It is solid and well put together, but most elements of the game are pretty standard, cookie-cutter stuff from both an MMO and FPS perspective. So far, I agree with a lot of the 7 to 8 out of 10 reviews, with many reviewers claiming Bungie played things too "safe" and that the game doesn't seem to have a ton of lasting appeal. While solid throughout, I just don't feel like I'm playing anything truly unique or revolutionary, despite the MMO/FPS concept itself being somewhat unique. That's just my opinion, though. I'm interested to see what DLC and other future updates bring to the table, and I could see a sequel being truly great based on what I'm playing now (assuming there is a sequel). I think it will be most telling how the community speaks of the game in about 6 months.

They are under contract for 3 games in the series at least. With plans for expansions between.

I finally got up to level 9, did a bunch of bounties to level up quick. Have not gotten as many drops as in the Beta or Alpha.

Once I hit level 15 I really saw the drop rates spike. I started getting engrams out the wazoo, mostly junk but every junk item you dismantle becomes materials to level up your rares and legendaries.

When is DEF > stats on a piece of armor? I just hit lv8 and found a 34 def helmet but I'm currently rocking a lv5 helmet with 21 or 24 def but it has +5 of some stat I forget..

Stats help with your cooldowns and things, they are very useful. At that level you don't need to worry about big def yet. Only take def over stats when it's a large difference. Like between lv 16 and lv20 I found a piece with 101 and another with 131.

Ahh - you gotta get your console setup at your computer desk and game there with headphones. Then she can watch all the big brother, say yes to the dress, property brothers, the bachelor that she wants! :sneaky:

Hmm I think I may. There are two on the game stop webpage. One for $35 and another for 34.99 what's the difference? I hope they add more missions and levels.

Edit: nevermind one is for ps3 duh! I hope they add more story missions. Some of them look like just multiplayer maps.

Yes they are going to add more planets to explore .

Blizzard used to offer a hardline no on transfers from PVE to PVP servers either and we know how that went.

Leveled up close to 12.5 now. Got some better gear and an auto rifle with 111 damage, pulse rifle with 101, and scout rifle too with the same damage. The easiest way to level myself up is doing a raid.

Do you get xp again for redoing a raid? Probably not more than the first time is what I'm thinking.

I'm in the process of making another character. I find it annoying that all three races use exactly the same body. In fact, the only difference is the head...its like an episode of Futurama. I can understand sharing the humanoid body frame between the biologics, but it makes zero sense for the mechanoid head to have normal skin from the neck joint down. How can an Exo be a self-aware war machine, yet be skin and bones below the chin? Shouldn't it be...you know...a machine? And no facial hair for humans? Bungie was really lazy in this department. They practically phoned in character customization.

Finally started playing this! Up to level 9 already. Anyone on Xbox One want to party up? I've finished all the Earth Missions so far and all my friends have logged off for the night. =( Thankfully, I don't have children or obligations! I am free to ignore my GF the entire weekend!

You mean a strike? Success has a set xp bonus.

Yea a strike but I only saw the xp bonus the first time I hovered over the level 8 strike. After I completed it, I was thinking of doing it again but I noticed no xp bonus in green.

I think the only thing I don't like is doing the story solo because of the many enemy waves. I guess I can just wait until I'm levels higher to do them on my own.

If you're on the recommended level for the mission, then it is possible to solo it, but some missions will be pretty difficult. If you're a level above then it should be ok.

Yeah I think the strikes you unlock as you play the story only give you XP for the first completion. After that it is just for gear and if you do a bounty for the vanguards. There is a bounty for sepkis prime and the other bosses in the strikes.
