You can do them, but the rewards from the previous raids are not useful in the new content as the drops are not scaled up.

I should clarify, I meant matchmaking raids/nightfalls.

We did some questing and court of Oryx yesterday with Rage187 and cmdrdredd - it was a lot of fun! And I got my light level to just under 260

We tried the tier 3 court a few times (others were starting it), but couldn't manage (all mobs were immune to my damage - too low light and the others didn't seem to know what to do in the encounter...). Then a while later a random dude packed with the best gear (301 light) came with another high light level friend and a low 230-ish dude. And that 301 dude ripped the tier 3 court to PIECES :awe: Just waited until the rest brought down the boss' shield and then tore him with the relic! You could hear the boss crying like a little b!tch

Very fun again !

AgentUnknown - you don't have to do any missions in the game except the TTK quest line (+patrol unlock quest) to unlock the Dreadnought.

did the raid last night in a late night PUG of alts. We breezed through it except for two wipes on golgoroth. Got 307 sniper, kingshell, handcannon. and finished a few quests.

No but I would for the xp bonus and they would be very easy at lv25.

I need to find something like that. I mentioned to you that we stopped at golgoroth because one guy needed sleep and had stayed up to do a run and then volunteered to help us a bit. It really isn't too bad when you get into a rhythm.

I would like to find a regular group to run with but don't know enough people who still play anymore. Was your group from one of the LFG sites? Some of the people making groups are stupid about it and kick people without the emblem to prove they did it before and things like that. It's "max gjally" all over again.

Yeah you mentioned something about that before. I was just thinking that with the way gear needs to be leveled now you gotta do the raid all the time to progress which means PUGs and going about it semi casually doesn't cut it like before. You are going to have to steadily get through it week to week because you will aways need a piece that has more light to replace as you go. No more finding a piece you need and it is the highest for that slot.

Also some of the LFG people are asses about everything. One death at the door because someone got blasted trying to burn their 10 seconds on the plate without a Titan bubble isn't the end of the world. I expect mistakes, stuff happens. Yes I sometimes get upset but I am not going to leave or try to kick someone out if two wizards and ogre beam acolytes is too much to handle. It isn't everyone but there are quite a few threads about the elitists coming back in full force.

Yes you can start at level 25 with TTK. AT LEVEL 40 you cap your character level and then focus on your light. The higher your light level the stronger your character. Your defense and attack stats are averaged across every slot to determine your light level.

The "you have done it before" part is what gets me. Watching a video or reading about it isn't the same as doing it. Can't say I've done it unless I've really done it. Yesterday I got an invite but they said "have you done it before?" When I say not all the way through there was no further response cause they only want people who have been through it already and probably found someone else anyway. Can't get experience without a group willing to accept the fact that not everyone has already beaten it and will probably need to be told their role. I'm not gonna lie to people. It sucks but what can I really do?

I am usually on before the west coast as well which probably makes a difference in the number of people forming up.

Probably that primary exotic engram that popped out from a boss on a strike run. Once you hit 300 exotics have a chance to be 310 instead of 290.

I have heard mixed things about jade rabbit. I don't have one so I can't comment from personal experience.

Yes, it was that one, so maybe 3 strikes in on the 36 level play list. I played 10 back to back and had a lot of fun. The old ones now have taken in them! decrypted 21 engrams when I was done.

Jade Rabbit hits hard with the range of a sniper rifle. It also rarely needs reloading. The trick is to aim for the chest and let it auto drag you to the crit spot. Once you do, body, body, head, the gun refills.

Yeah I can see that being decent at times. I think a lot of weapons have situational usages now which is good because you swap out more than before and use different weapons for different bosses or areas.

I saw that some of the old strikes have taken enemies added like flyers and valus t'auric. The problem is they removed sepskis, archon priest, nexus, and I think omnigul from the new playlist. End up getting sunless cell(dark blade) and echo chamber ( one with relic force fields)a lot.

Yeah it will be tough to get high 290s without at least something from the raid. They say you need to be 295 to beat oryx though but there are opportunities for drops before that point.

The confirmed changes to three of coins is the following. You must be alive when the boss dies and the effectiveness is reduced by a lot when you use the effect quickly after it was just used. So for strikes with two bosses, the first boss gets full chance and the second will have a much lower chance if you use another right away. If you wait for the next strike the effect will be the usual amount which is lower than before the hotfix.
