Precisely and I think it is better than rockets for bosses. I have 9 rounds with star fire protocol and it hits twice as hard as a rocket at least and the boss can't dodge it once it fires. Plus if you get precision hits you are doing year 1 Gjallarhorn numbers in terms of burst damage. I have seen a lot of people compare it to black spindle for raid where you are just standing there doing dps to a boss who doesn't move. That isn't where the sleeper will excel. It excels on bosses who move a bit, are not safe to sword rush, and you cannot stand there and pump 23 rounds into them back to back. Also for situations where you need big damage in a short window (crota's end) and the king's fall raid doesn't have those situations so a lot of people just write it off. For someone who may not have a spindle it will help a lot on warpriest and golgoroth to get your damage in once you use your sniper shots. Switch to sleeper and get 3 shots into him instead of reloading.

I did it with matchmaking first try no wipes(lots of deaths though) but everyone was 304+ and one hunter was giving us invis for the ships.

2 raid runs and no gear to show for it except a class item that was a whole one light higher than what I had and a fusion rifle that was lower than everything I had been using. Two and a half hours grinding strikes for engrams and using 3oC only netted 3 exotic engrams. Two ended up being 290 and thus worthless. The other was a 310 Monte Carlo.

I seem to be having very little luck getting gear to bump me up a bit more. Especially the body slot which is stuck at 300.

Man, you guys with 3x same class tear through stuff 3x as fast... Doesn't it get boring?

My hunter is nearly done with the Arc sword, almost waiting for arms day and then the Sunless Cell strike. Got my pvp part in 3 rounds yesterday, did the Dreadnought part solo (was rather easy) and almost done with the Cosmodrome part.

I need to do nightfall this week still - someone up for it?

I deleted my 2nd lock when TTK came out and now have one of each

Lock and Hunter are at 40 and can both be at or above 300 light if I move items around

ill get the titan up shortly

Lol I considered rolling another but thought better of it due to needing to level subclasses over. My second warlock still hasn't maxed out storm caller yet. Seems to take forever even with the class item to increase the xp.

From what I have been seeing, lv304-307 is like one huge hump that a lot of people are not able to get past yet. I have seen theories that the raid will drop gear easily for people under a certain light level and hold it back for people who are higher. Something to keep you grinding it out and not maxing your character yet. I do know that my first time through I got something from each section. Second time I got less and now I either get bad rolls or shards only. Seeing the drops scroll across the screen for everyone is a bit disappointing when it reads my name and says "moldering shards" lol. Especially yesterday on oryx. He took 20 shards and gave me 2 as my extra drop so I ended up getting a total of 4.

Someone did pull a hawk moon from the chest after golgoroth too. First time I have seen someone actually get an exotic from it.

Heh one of each is a little more nuts because you can't share armor between them. Though with the infusion system it is a lot easier than previously. You can give high light level unwanted items to your other class and use it to infuse up gear. That is a huge help for sure.

you can transfer weps and ghost, you get a 300 artifact for free for each class, the rest was pretty simple TBH

I had an exotic for my hunter at 290 from the 3oC farm, (I do for my titan as well)

purchased legs and gloves as im swimming in marks and had a 286 blue

was 290 pretty much instantly

played for another day and I sit at 298-300 depending


you can make it go slightly faster by just saving a legendary engram from your main and sending it to an alt, decrypt when you hit 40.

I hate PvP and it wasn't so bad for me... Just go to Mayhem Rumble. Small arenas with free for all. Run around with the hilt and hope for the best That's what I did and I had to endure 3 matches only to get to 25 kills.

nightfall this week is Saber with Arc Burn, its the taken version, once you get past the warsat its not too bad

the arc electricity parts can be rough, did it this morning, got a 310 4th horsemen
bring a solar sniper/rocket to deal with the cpts shields as Match game makes them annoying

Epic (Lots of heavy shielded and aggressive enemies)
Arc Burn (Arc Burn increased)
Match Game (Resistant to unmatched Elemental damage)
Catapult (Faster grenades)
Exposure (Lots of armor, slow armor regen time)

I got two 310 4th horseman from engrams last night heh. Supercell gets a workout on this nightfall though.

Anyone know when they are going to put the black spindle nerf in? I am waiting until that happens before I bring the one I have to 310. I used the 310 drop to infuse another sniper up.

You might get lucky and your third will get good drops for first time.

I was trying to do some strikes last night, about 20 minutes into each one I'd get disconnected from Destiny servers. This isn't the first time it's happened. Does this happen to anyone else?

I've done the raid 1.80 times today. Servers shut off at sisters.

1st: pulse rifle and shotgun
2nd: 303 ghost, 3 better than I had, 300 boots, exactly what I already had AND a 310 Truth out of the chest!!! I couldn't believe it. Mind blown. I almost skipped it because we were rushing through to finish before the servers kicked.

Going to look for a raid group in a minute. Just hope the people doing the raid aren't the types that waste my time because everyone else is trying to grind iron banner.


By the way, black spindles were nerfed. Both of my 300 spindles were 280 when I logged in. I promptly used my infusion fuel to bring one to 310.

got the raid LMG today at 305, then another ghost with 1 more light same perks, a 300 chest (have a 308) and a 305 armband (have 307)

Got a 306 ghost and 302 fusion rifle. And 310 exotic helm from the chest before the sisters. Need to do first two bosses on my hunter still, so I still might get more stuff
