I've not played it, but that trailer makes it look like an addon pack for Destiny 1. Graphics look similar, same actors..

I was hoping for more, much more.

Waiting for Anthem.....

From what I've been told the engine is the same with some tweaks since they no longer support PS3 or 360. The graphics had a different art style to them from what a friend told me. I didn't play the beta so I don't know.

As for Anthem, Bioware sucks now and EA has failed too many times lately.

I've been in the middle of my look back review of the GTX 560 Ti, and I figured I would fire up the BETA, and color me impressed with performance. While this is the 2GB model, the game runs really good @ 1080p low settings. I mean, it's not 60fps, but the frametimes are great and the game felt really good, all while looking great even at low settings.

I preordered from Gamestop by trading in persona 5 which I finished twice and took the 20% bonus toward destiny 2

I will say I am most excited to play because of PS4 Pro support. The beta looked great on my 4k TV and Destiny 1 had pretty cool art design and seeing it with much better graphics is going to be pretty cool.

I am mostly a solo player and so far from what I've read and seen of videos it is supposed to be be much better to join up without needing to resort to 3rd party websites to find people to play with.

Ahh never mind I found it. Had to dig through google a bit because most links showed the white PS4 pro + game bundle. Checkerboard rendering for 4k output. Not bad. I did get a chuckle out of people claiming that they should have done 60fps instead. Didn't they already say they wouldn't do that because it would give game play advantages over the standard PS4 and it wouldn't necessarily be able to do 60fps anyway? I just wish it had HDR support.

HDR is coming to the PS version "soon" after launch according to Bungie

Yeah that's what I remember reading about the 60fps thing. I'm pretty sure even 1080p/60 wouldn't have been likely either. I didn't think 30fps was that bad in the first one and after a time I didn't even pay attention to it at all. Rather a locked 30 than an unlocked frame rate too. Good news for me regarding hdr, very glad to hear that

Depending on what this hurricane does over the next day, I may not get much play time in this week. Lots of stuff to secure around the house.

Yeah outside Ft Lauderdale but I'm not really worried about it as we're well prepared and have been through many over the years.

So I pre-ordered too. Don't have anything else to play right now and the first one was fun, so why not. Got that farming itch to scratch ;-) And apparently the story is a lot better this time around...

I'm a sucker... preordered for PS4 then canceled for PC, bought DLC pass on PC too but then preordered base game again for PS4 lol. My PS+ sub is still active so I might as well not miss out on the PS exclusive stuff. The first Destiny was great on that platform anyway, pretty excited to dive into it again.

So umm it looks like Sparrows are RNG drops only now. You are not guaranteed to get one at all. It's not like the first one where you get one through story missions.

That really sucks, you could be with a team and they hate you because you're the only one without a sparrow. Not a good decision to me. Yes I known they want to you to explore more so now but people are going to be left behind or kicked off fireteams for not even having one.

I know there are warp points now but I'm sure in the beginning not everyone is going to have them yet.

Haha I just read that comment as well about the pop tarts code to get one.

I don't know why that's changed either. Sparrows were one of the coolest and most iconic things about Destiny 1.

Is that confirmed? Bungie basically refused to tell polygon that when asked about it. I am purposely avoiding other forums too so if someone mentioned it elsewhere I wouldn't have seen it.

3) You need to be patient for a Sparrow – Destiny’s hover bikes were one of the first things you unlocked in the original game. In the sequel, you won’t get on until late in the game. Played it a bit today Game is pretty dope! A lot more refined and better in general than the first one. Starting missions while on patrol is a huge improvement. Also access to the director from every place. I also like the kinetic/energy/power distinction they did here instead of primary/special/heavy from the first game. Can't wait to get some weapon combos that give additional bonuses
