Public events are fairly difficult until you hit level 10+ and even then you will likely need help from other players in the area, unless you are level 20+ then you can likely do it on your own if you are patient.

Yeah at lower level you can't do it alone most likely. Either you die constantly or run out of time.

Finally got my lv20 scout rifle from an engram. Got 15 greens and 4 blues. 2 were primary weapons and I got a nice scout. I also leveled up cryptarch to rank 7 and am half way to 8 and as a reward I got a legendary engram and two blues. Legendary game me 2 ascendent shards so I now have 6 and can upgrade my legendary armor to the second to last tier. The blues gave me crap I dismantled. A reward for gold public event for the day gave me two ascendent energies too.

I thought the next gen copy was free for Xbox or ps4? I remember seeing an article for it, maybe it's just for ps4.

You need to own it on PS3 or 360 to get an upgrade when you buy an XB1 or PS4.

Just got a legendary Sniper rifle from a blue engram I farmed off the moon while searching for helium that I need to have in order to upgrade my legendary boots.

Anyone on PS4 need the weekly heroic strike? Gives 3 strange coins. I need to do it. It's level 22 on the moon.

I never talk online but I tried tonight with a friend of mine and we couldnt hear each other. We were playing some of the story mission and I could see my mic icon flashing on screen but nothing, is there a setting I may not have set correctly?

I do know from poking around that if you press start and go to the settings screen, there's an option for speaker only, headset only or mixed voice. Play with that?

Are you sure your privacy settings are set so you can hear other people or possibly non friends? I've had that problem.

Bungie said that they updated the game so the number of public events you see while doing a patrol is doubled now.

Also a clan has beaten the raid on default difficulty. The total number of deaths was 1,605.

This must have been in effect yesterday. I did 4 public events while doing patrol missions for vanguard reps. I saw two or three more available, but they were shielded enemies that you have to kill before they cross the checkpoints and no one else was around to help. I don't mind soloing the non-shielded event enemies, but Captains, Wizards, and Centurions are too frustrating.

This actually makes patrols a lot more enticing for me. Frequent public events would be a pretty decent way to pick up vanguard marks and ascendant energy, both of which I need a lot of right now. Couple that with vanguard reps, bounties, and whatever upgrade materials you might find on patrol and you're killing five birds with one stone.

Edit: I also love it when a public event pops up during a strike mission. That way you've always got help and you end up with 10 vanguard marks for that one mission.

I love the public events. I just wish there was some diversity. Right now, it is either "kill this guy" or "protect this thing".

3 groups have beaten it IIRC (two from one clan and a group of "randoms" assembled on StreamerHouse stream).

The fights look to be more than simply "shoot and dodge bullets" like in strikes, so that is good. They have real mechanics that require team work.

I only saw a bit of it (the streamed raid took like 16 hours total, but like half of that was on the last boss), and the last boss sends the 3 farthest away into a portal to complete some task every so often. Also, the mission is bugged currently, and the countdown timer gets stuck at 0. You don't get any mission rewards for completing it.

Also, there is no lockout on normal mode. It seems like it is meant to be farmed.

Just spent 185 vanguard marks on the Warlock helmet and chest piece. My first legendary items I can use. Finally level 25. Hoping xur has boots or gauntlets for Warlock this weekend because I have enough strange coins for one.

Sweet. If we can get a 3rd person to help out or who needs it that's cool but you can do it with two people. I am level 25 BTW.

For what it's worth, the weekly is really easy this week. I got to the boss solo on auto pilot at 21 with zero problems. Granted, I didn't get a chance to do the boss (had to do some IRL stuff and couldn't make it back to Destiny last night), but that boss isn't too bad either.

Nice. What helmet did you go with? If I can't get a nice one from drops I will have to buy it. I went with the body that gives extra ammo for auto rifle and sniper rifles, and the boots with extra scout rifle ammo. So far my body piece needs 1 more level to max it but I need ascendent shards.

23 I believe. You can also buy exotic engram's with motes of light but they can turn into items you won't use so I personally refuse to buy them.

Went with the Nerigal Savant III. For both chest piece and helmet.

Saw a level 27 earlier with the whole 4 piece set.

Its just the adds that are quite annoying. Are the heroic strikes the ones where you cannot revive yourself and have to start at checkpoints? That could be annoying when you get swarmed.

Also it tones down a bit of the difficulty when you are solo but I like playing with people.
