I managed to get the 25 needed strikes for the bad juju before Xur disappeared (the moon strike on "cheese level" takes under 10min). Now I need to earn 10.000 pts on the Crucible by killing enemies and I'm done. I'm at 4.400 already... Good thing I need Dead Orbit gloves, so I can use the pvp marks for them.

And yea, the servers went down for me around 9PM CET. I was not too happy about it as I was missing a few last strikes for the exotic and I needed Xur for the next stage (and he'll be gone tomorrow)... Good thing they came back online after 20min or so.

Also, the Pocket Infinity fusion rifle with the exotic upgrade is insane. It only charges the first shot, the rest keep spitting BAM BAM BAM until the clip is empty. When I miss one of the rays, there's a good chance it will return a full round to the clip. I had situations where the gun shot 15 times before reloading... With a 8 bullet clip So much fun to use it!

Yup, did it twice. Once for about an hour and another for about 30min. Got tons of drops. Also an insanely huge wave will randomly come and attack you there and I mean huge wave after wave.

I expect Bungie to somehow patch it.

They can't really patch it IMO. If they nerf the drops you get from low levels, it effectively ruins anything not at level 20+ and if they nerf the spawn rate, there will be no war zone in that area (the idea behind the quick spawns).

The only real "fix" is to just nerf the amount of legendaries you get from the encrypted things, and that hurts. In a game all about loot, nerfing the best farm spots really screws over players who haven't farmed yet.

Why would they nerf such things? The competitive multiplayer is gear and level independent and you can't trade in pve. So nobody is getting any advantage over anybody else.

Give out gear too fast and people lose interest. Give it out too slowly, same result. =( Delicate balance in loot based farming games.

Nah they can make it so that enemies lower than level 10 don't drop as much stuff for you if you are above 15. I personally think it's odd that a thrall around level 8 can drop a legendary that can get you an exotic and you don't have to do events and such to get that chance.

Still haven't done it. I've done a lot of other farming though. I did chest runs for spinmetal and engrams in old Russia until I was sick of it. I've done glimmer runs on the moon until I was sick of it. I farmed the big spawn area on Venus until I was sick of that too. I just can't bring myself to stand somewhere for an hour shooting at a cave yet. At least I get to move around and do things on the other runs.

This is exactly how I feel. Although what you can do is stand near the people firing into the cave and sort of afk. Do whatever (watch tv or something) but come back and move around a bit so the game doesn't kick you out. You'll gain xp and engrams with no work. Kind of lame but if you want to level a second class this is not a bad way. Guy said he got almost 10 levels very quickly and the engrams gave him enough gear for that level.

I'm so tired of legendaries decoding into blues. I've leveled my cryptarch twice this weekend, plus gotten 3-4 other legendary drops, and all turned into blue items. All told I might be 1 for my last 10 in getting legendary items or even ascendant shards out of legendary engrams. It's very disheartening. On the plus side, I've got close to 700 in various materials to turn in for vanguard on Tuesday. That's one sure fire way to get a legendary anyway.

Yeah my cryptarch is level 14 now and I still have the level 20 blue helmet. Can't get a legendary to decrypt into a legendary I can use there for the life of me. Although I did obtain a couple legendary weapons from blues and an exotic from a legendary so there's that. I'm just stuck on that helmet armor piece.

I don't mind getting coins or ascendent pieces. I'll take that over more blue gear I'm gonna dismantle lol.

I've been doing that with my Vita. Turn on remote play, look down every now and then and profit.


On another topic, what faction is everyone joining? I have been using the pulse rifle with my hunter and like it. Wouldn't mind finding an upgrade to it.

I did it for a bit but didn't get anything good. I'm still stuck with a blue helmet heh. All it did is upgrade my cryptarch

Finally hit level 20 over the weekend. I shot at Christmas Cave for maybe about 20-30 minutes last night just to see what all the hub-bub was about. Ended up with 7 rare engrams and another 12-15 green items. In that time, leveled up some grimoire, had 264 kills and 67 assists, and that was with 5 other high level players. Nabbed a new rare scout rifle from one of those rare engrams so it was worth it.

Was a fun time shooting at the cave entrance And you guys getting smashed to bits by the WARSAT was too funny Also, got a Red Death from a legendary primary weapon - was spawn camping the Fallen cave during the event on my Bladedancer Hunter (killed like 200 mobs in 2 minutes :awe: ).

Finally hit 20, played some crucible and learned to use the sniper after getting beasted on by it. Was pretty epic. I got like 8-9 kill streak, team came after me. 2 guys + a guy on the tank, hit them with my Titan's ground smash. Anyhow, I got my first legendary from the match and it's a chest. I was so excited, I ran to the decrypto guy and pressed A. ahhhh oh well.

Decided to finally play PvP. After 3 rounds I came in first place every time on my team and haven't gotten a single engram, item, or anything. What's the point? I've been playing over 30 minutes for fuck all. If you're going to play pvp make sure you suck otherwise it's a waste of time

Really a lot of people have said they only do pvp for guaranteed legendaries. Like you can earn marks and buy a piece of legendary gear you want from a faction and don't have to hope for the RNG. Same for vanguard. Do bounties and strikes to get marks and eventually just buy your set. Then you can get to around 28 if it's upgraded.

It's kinda funny how the pvp is gear independent, which I agree with, but my best AR is a lvl 9 with low fire rate that I kept because of the really good stability.

Made level 28 yesterday. I spent some time at that cave too. Good god was that boring, but I did get a lot of drops. No legendaries, but plenty of greens and blues. Funny thing is that after I gave up on the cave and started doing my bounties I immediately got a legendary chest engram, which gave me enough ascendant shards to level up. I should be able to handle the level 28 daily heroic missions now, so that will speed my advancement a bit.
