Isn't most of that content the same thing? Once you get the Legendary level of gear it's all shades of the same. I haven't really seen much difference between the rifles (outside of their type), only different names and maybe a slightly different picture of it. The stats are the same. Even the two Exotic armors I got had the same stats only different names. The game content does plateau out.

The weapons, especially exotic weapons, function differently. They sound different, look different, have special exotic upgrades that no other weapons get.

The weekly strike and daily story mission reward you with an engram for completion. Probably mostly going to see blues from these but at least it's one guaranteed engram that could potentially be a legendary item. Also the level 24 strike playlist will give engrams for completion as well as the marks and vanguard rep. I don't know why only the level 24 playlist will get engrams though. Probably to incentivize people to stop running the low tier ones.

I got two ascendant shards and one ascendant energy from doing a few public events yesterday (4 or 5?). Also got one ascendant shard for completing the daily heroic and two more as reward for it. So 6 shards in a matter of 2 hours. Not bad Too bad my gear is maxed out already... Will come in handy once Bungie allows more exotic gear to be worn? It's bound to happen...

Also maxed out my primary weapons (Suros and Red Death and a legendary auto rifle ) and got a legendary rocket launcher and fusion rifle too.

We finished the nightfall and weekly strike at 28 with Rage187 and another friend on Tuesday, so there's really nothing else to do besides running around and hoping for ascendant energy to upgrade my guns. Got the blue sparrow too, so waiting for Xur to show up to upgrade it to purple. Also got my my cloak with a coyote on the back - looks really cool

@Skel: The exotic guns have one special upgrade - for example the fusion rifle will insta-gib everything once you unlock the full auto upgrade I got a huge grin the first time I fired it with the upgrade There's also a really cool sniper rifle called "Patience and Time" that will put you into stealth each time you look through the scope and it keeps the radar displayed too. Rage187 has a rocket launcher that destroys everything - missiles lock on target and after exploding, spawn like 10 smaller missiles that also lock on everything around. Kinda crazy

Did strike playlists yesterday. Did 3 strikes and ended up with 10 decrypted blues, 9 blue engrams and 1 legendary, and 2-3 shaders. Per strike reward was 3-5 items.

I am gonna run playlists this Saturday (AM eastern) if anyone is high enough for the lv24 ones and wants to join up for a bit. Also if anyone wants to do the weekly let me know as well. I have not completed that as of yet. If not I am gonna have to get a group of randoms off a website to run through it with heh.

Shards are super easy to come by, so if you are 26 or 27, you can easily hit 28 today or tomorrow and join us.

I am like 4 or 5 shards away from level 28 and will be working on doing strikes and such today to get there, if I dont get to level 28 in time, I am still a level 27 that can come along to help if you need it.

Nope, each time you finish one with gold tier, there's a chance to get them too. I got a shard AND energy each from one yesterday too. So you can get both if you're lucky.

You get guaranteed mats for the first one too.

I'm in...I can postpone my strike run until later on. I am not very far from 29. I just need more shards. Been trying to get them during my time and keep getting energy or motes of light instead.

Finally got my first legendary weapon, first one after over 8 legendary weapon engrams turning into blues the last few weeks.

"The chosen" sniper rifle with arc damage.

Still haven't gotten a single exotic bounty, will probably just buy an exotic at this rate.

I got an exotic bounty and choose the HMG. Need to wait for xur. It was that or the hand cannon (I hate that weapon) or a shotgun (again I hate it).

Having a PVP only issue. It seems that when I'm looking downsights, it keeps zooming back out after a few round burst. Really frustrating when in a 1:1 situation and I keep losing aim and need being able to take out a single player. Like I said, this is only a PVP issue as I never experience it in PVE.

Yeah I've seen this happen and it can be irritating. But hey sometimes I'm that person lol although I never got anything that was very good. Just knight armor type 2.

The way I look at it, it's not like he got it in lieu of you, so it's not too big of a deal. Plus, if he's not going to play, then what good is getting gear? He'll stand around and get the best gear, then realize that there's nothing else to accomplish and still won't play. Lose lose.

The Dreg repay the same way when fighting against us in an arc damage modified instance F**king things have perfect aim with their grenades haha
