Did you get on your knees.....and pray? Lol. I got a legendary engram from a dreg in nightfall. Turned into The Culling, which is good because I needed a good void machine gun. You on XB?

I've seen 3 Gjallorhorns drop from 2 raids this week. Save those coins, Xur might be selling it this week. I've never seen it drop since I got mine the first week, and now 3 in 2 days.

2 were from the 3rd (including spirit bloom) chest after templar, and one from Atheon drop.

Yeah, I'm on XB. The engram turned into The Cure, a rocket launcher, so that is a bit annoying as I don't use those. Now, if I could just muster the strength to finish Bad Juju before the weekend is over and Xur leaves. Close to being done with the strikes and then the dreaded PVP. =(

I don't believe he's ever had one...it's usually a helm. a few weeks ago it was a gauntlet (I shouldn't have bought that one).

Well, there are exotic weapon engrams in the game, so I don't see why he wouldn't. However, a quick google search on the phone (blocked at work) seems to indicated his loot table doesn't contain weapon engrams.

That is rather disappointing.

So some kind of off topic but not really....I've got legendary helm (372), gaunlets (304), boots(270) and an exotic chest(439) all maxed out but I'm barely above 29 Titan. Are there stuff higher than those to reach 30? Maybe from raid drops? I know I can only have one exotic on so...

4 pieces of maxed raid armor, or 3 pieces of maxed raid armor and 1 exotic maxed armor will get level 30. All armor needs 30 light, for a total of 120 to hit level 30.

Those armor numbers don't matter. It's all about the light you get from armor. Exotics can go as high as 30 light. Raid legendary gear can go up to 30. Regular legendary gear can go up to 27 only.

In order to get level 30, you will need either 4 pieces of Raid legendary armor, or 3 pieces of raid legendary + 1 exotic.

Yup, honestly you wasted resources leveling up to 29 in my opinion. You should at most level up your legendary gear to 28 then go for Raid gear and level that up to max.

Unfortunately of course, like most other things in this game, they don't make pretty much anything clear after level 20. Unless you read about it in forums or Wiki, you wouldn't know things like only being able to have one Exotic Armor or weapon at one time until you try to equip more than one at a time or getting to level 30 on many other things in this game.

I maxed everything to get to 29. Why? Cause at 29 people will take you on hard mode but not 28. So I was able to get a raid helmet at lv29.

Honestly i'm a fan of leveling up to 29 especially if you don't mind farming material for 30 minutes or so, i usually do this while doing bounties for 6 patrol missions or the collect 200 tears or whatever it is for that planet.

I say this because you never know what raid gear you'll get first and can drop a level or 2 switching out your maxed out legendary or exotic for your new found raid gear. This is all personal preference of course but after a while I just decided i'd rather go to 29 with my characters than staying at 28 and waiting for raid gear.

I disagree. You're not guaranteed to get any raid gear when you run the raid and being 29 can help you run HM raid much more easily than Level 28. In addition, when you run the raid, you start to get plenty of A-shards/energy.

Iron Banner will have legendary 30 boots and gloves. That's all I need for both toons to hit 30.

That's cool. You'll need rank 5 though right? Will that be possible in a week?

Although...they did say they aren't resetting ranks so that should help some people there. It's about time they did something about the brick wall they throw people into at 28-29.
