I tried carrying a friend and I could get him to about 30% before I had to run away. Then I hid under the platform.

Oh man, I tried the Priest at level 23 last night and got him to 50% before stealth dudes got me. I didn't know about hiding spots. I want to beat that darn heroic so badly.

just so people are aware the change they made to the scaling for fireteams has made the Weekly/Nightfall A LOT HARDER to solo. even with the burn modifiers people are reporting that when soloing enemies have 2-3x as much HP as they used to

I've written 3 replies to this as well.. I'll my experience soloing the weekly sunday verses post patch (when I had Aksor at 50% a friend dropped in and helped me finish him because otherwise I wouldn't have been able to do it before I needed to go to work.)
Pre-Patch: Level 28 Titan Defender, High Lord Fixer (267/300), Praedyth's Revenge (300/300), Gjallarhorn (300/300).
Time to completion: 23 minutes
Hobgoblins: 2 crit shots to kill with PR
Minotaurs: 6 shot with PR, 1 shot with Gjallarhorn if all the wolfpack rounds hit.
Hydras: 7 crit shots with PR, 2-3 shots with Gjallarhorn
Reaver Vandals: 2 head shots with PR
Shanks: 1 shot with primary
Captains: 2 shots to bring down their shields, 1 shot to kill.
Reaver Captains: 4 shots to drop shields, 2 headshots to kill.
Dregs: 1 headshot, 2 body shots with primary.
Askor: 14 rounds from Gjallarhorn.

Post-Patch: Level 29 Warlock, The Devil You Know (267/300) [Then later A1.F19X-RYL 300/30] Praedyth's Revenge (300/300), Gjallarhorn (300/300)
Time to completion: 1 hour, 17 minutes with help on Aksor
Hobogoblins: 4 crits, 3 if Firefly went off near them with PR
Minotaurs: Shields took 6 shots with PR, 6 more shots did not kill them. 2 shots with Gjallarhorn if all wolfpack rounds hit them.
Hydras: 12-13 crits with PR, 4 shots with Gjallarhorn.
Reaver Vandals: 4 shots with PR, at least one took 5.
Shanks: 2 shots with TDYK, 4 with A1F19X
Captains: 4 shots for shields, 2 head shots to kill with PR
Reaver Captains: More than 16 rounds with PR... 5 shots with Gjallarhorn... lots of grenades.. and supers.
Aksor: No clue.. a lot of fucking bullets and rockets.

After playing for a few hours last night the game is a lot more polished display wise, it's a lot easier to know what's what e.g you can tell if people in your fire team have a good connection, easier to tell if your melee/grenades are charged, modifiers for heroic/nightfall are clearly explained when the home/select button is pushed etc.

It's just overall a better feel/look, I didn't really try the opt in fire team chat though. I even like the new look of the upgrade materials lol.

Fuck, Heavy Ammo on chest and raid boots does not stack anymore ?! Makes Armamentium useless since the only 30 light boots have heavy ammo too. Also making nightfall solo waaay harder sucks. Why the hell did they change this ??

Thanks Bungie assholes. Not everybody plays in fire teams 24/7. They do a bunch of useless crap rather than something semi-important like fixing VoG issues. Oh, at least they changed spinmetal/relic iron/spirit bloom icons.

That sucks. I was looking forward to getting a few more light levels and being able to solo the weekly strike. My friends are buried in the WoW expansion, so I don't have a fire team to be able to go through content with. I'm fine with having to out level content to be able to experience it, but now that even seems impossible. I wish they would just let us match make for it.

Wow, they did F things up with mob health/damage. I helped my friend run the weekly heroic on level 28. I had already ran it with another team this week on 28 with no issues, so I'm thinking he and I could do it (both 29 titan's).

Holy crap, we couldn't even get past the first vex wave at the door. Those minotaurs would not go down despite unleashing full void HMG and sniper mags at them.

Had to drop it down to 26 and even then it took probably 1 hour to finally kill Aksor. His health would not go down despite multiple/constant headshots with P&T.

So instead of giving you an incentive to play with others (more items? a better XP bonus?), they fuck things up for solo players instead?? Sounds like a great idea... NOT! D:

Yeah...all over the destiny threads and forums people are thinking bungie hasn't got a clue. One guy made the point that they made it harder because too many people can do it on day one and Bungie is crying about it. This is their way to change the rules. They know their game isn't big enough so they have to try to make what there is currently, impossible.

Bungie has shown that they want this game played their way and their way only. Part of the fun of these types of games is finding out ways to do things that weren't intended but Bungie shits all over it. If we want to sit at loot caves all day, who the fuck cares, if we want to solo a weekly strike, why the hell not?

I'll try to solo it when I get home. If I need a full fire team to get through it I guess I'll just do the raid each week.

That's one of the things that bug me about how they patch things...if people are putting the time in doing stuff in your game that isn't breaking it for other people why bother patching it out?

I haven't tried Nightfall/Heroic yet as I had already had them done pre patch but I usually do 2 (any combination of heroic/nightfall) solo based on when I have time to play and who is on so i'm sure i'll find out soon.

That vid looks typical nightfall (phew!). Maybe last week's nightfall was bugged after the patch and before the weekly reset? Or Bungie stealth-changed it back

Well there were some weapons that got nerfed but wasn't mentioned (some exotics) so maybe some people thought that the enemies gained HP?

Anyway good. At least I can do nightfall without needing people to help. Don't get me wrong I like doing group stuff but if I am ready to go now and nobody is on, but when they get on I'm not ready to do it then...you get the idea. You can't always guarantee people to be available.

I agree with everything in your second paragraph it's exactly how I end up doing them solo lol.
