Nightfall was pretty easy...no extra health. Didn't see any really good drops. Oh well, raid later on for a chance at loot drops.

Yea, I didn't see any difference. Oneshoting dregs, shanks took two sniper hits with the right elemental sniper. Could be last week's nightfall got a double modifier after the patch for some reason and that's why things were this tough? I guess we'll never know...

No exotics for me this week from nightfall either :-(

Same experience here, did nightfall with a couple people and it wasn't any harder. My buddy got the scout rifle with all the letters and numbers in the name, I got another TDYK and the other guy got a multi tool.


I also did the weekly heroic solo with my hunter and that was simple enough as well.

yea I ran it yesterday on 1 char, I died the first time because sepkis seemingly 1 shot me. not sure how, got it the 2nd time, actually a cpl people joined in on me at the end but it was fine

I got some legendary void rocket from FWC

also played yesterday tethered to my phone because TWC sucks. was less laggy then I thought it would be

Any strategies for the 3 waves of mobs in nightfall? Brother and I tried 3 times last night and always wiped first wave. Damage is just so strong and we both have good gear/weapons (level 29 each). Any good hiding spots?

I think once we clear those 3 waves, the walker and sepiks should be fairly doable.

Another question regarding the tempering buff. Reading online that some folks say you can buy it once, others say multiple times. Anyone know for sure if it's one or the other?

Go down the hallway to the side by the train car. No enemies spawn there and they don't move to that location either.

for the waves part hide over by the fallen down train car, its to the right as you enter that area, and has a hive cave at the end of it, you can just hide over there and snipe things, you can be shot but no mob will come in there and punch you and its very easy to hide in there and recover when you do take some damage

As was said above over by the train is pretty safe just watch out for the snipers when over there...they can and will kill you if you leave them alive, there's usually 2 visible and one invisible.

I knew the hive cave was there, but didn't know it was a good safe spot. I've done it where I stood on/behind the broken train but was always still a tough spot.

Yeah, if you drop back into the ditch in front of the cave, you're like 99% safe from everything. The only thing you have to be careful with are the snipers, if those can kill you easily.

Yeah, I don't mind doing this either. Crucible has definitely grown on me lol, I've come a long way from being forced into it with exotic weapon bounties. Kind of keeps the game a little exciting for me.

So after running hard raid I have another ship I'll have to trash and am sitting on 124 ascendent shards and 84 energy. The game can't even see fit to give me anything to use them on. No raid body armor, no fatebringer, no corrective measure, no exotics, not even the vex gun which isn't all that great at the moment anyway. Getting sick of this. I hope xur has something good...my patience with this game is wearing thin after so many hours spent. I like it but the game just doesn't have a good system in place to get the things you don't have yet. Right now that's the only reason I play. Hoping Nightfall gives drops, Raid gives drops, or Xur has something I want.

Not if you already have it anything short of Gjallarhorn is meh, sadly.

I bought those and a few fusion rifle telemetry packs since I have over 50 coins to spend anyways. The chest should come in handy since i'm leveling up the voidwalker class currently.

I'm trying to do the weekly heroic strike, but I think I don't have enough firepower to get through the yellow captains. I only have a blue lvl 20 sniper rifle and even getting head shots it takes too many shots before they run and hide for shields. Then if I try to go finish them off, I have to leave the safe spot and get owned. Videos show guys two shotting the captains in Nightfall and one shotting the normal guys. I only have the terrible Dr. Nope, so its useless.

Should I save marks for a legendary sniper and hand cannon to make this stuff easier? I'm just wondering if my gear is limiting me from doing the weekly strikes or if I need to man up. I've gone back to using a blue hand cannon because its better than the Dr. Nope.
