Has anyone finished the exotic bounty for the thorn? It seems nearly impossible for me. You have to get 500 damage or kills in crucible with void damage, and deaths are a set back. I keep going up to 60-70, and start dropping back down from bad matches. So annoying.
Only way to do that bounty if you are good at crucible is to get a void shotgun and camp hard on domination. After about 10-15 matches you will get through it. I suck at crucible(never play it) and that was the only way I could get through it with consistent success. Even if you are doing a KD of 1 yo uare still making progress.
I did that part. I thought it'd be impossible too. You do have to string together a bunch of decent matches, but at least they don't have to be wins. For special weapon, I used a fusion rifle. Heavy was a machine gun. It really wasn't that bad, especially in team modes. I bought Plan C today too. Decent so far. I know I've died to it a lot today lol.I think i'm at the point where i'm going to have to start ignoring the exotic bounties altogether, I think i'm only missing 2 of the weapons and I have the bounties on habd just haven't completed them yet.
Hell I even grabbed a second pocket infinity bounty but I don't even use the first one as is. Does any one use plan c? I grabbed it this morning along with some rocket telemetry packs because why not.

Do upgrades to weapons reset when transferring to alts through the vault? I have my second character almost to 29, but only has blue primary and not enough reputation to get a purple yet.

Huge update. Woot, Thorn looks usable!
Edit: How is it useless crap? All the exotic weapons got balanced/buffed. Materials should now be easier to obtain.
The only thing I'm not sure of will be the "exotic shard".
Instead of farming for shards/energy (not really hard), you now have to farm for coins (totally random and once per char per week for the weekly heroic). So they changed one grind for another, more random one. Great !! Not to mention, you can only still wear one exotic armor/weapon... so that's not really a change, just makes things more annoying for them.
Planetary materials for vanguard marks - what's the point of the planetary materials now? I mean really... what's the point? Useless. Can't they just completely remove them and instead have you spend marks directly?
They changed one grind into another. Nothing fun was added!! Still same old shit every day, same missions, same 3-4 mobs you fight. They made an annoying raid even more annoying. The game is an uphill battle vs random. And it ends up a frustrating experience - the last thing I want to do after coming from a hard day at work - get frustrated in a game!
I guess I just think the game is a total bore and crap. I've put over 100 hours into it and I feel cheated (got 3 charts, lvl28 lock, lvl29 hunter, lvl30 titan). The story is shit, the game mechanics are shallow and extremely repetitive, there is no variation. The game has random limits that make no sense (100 marks a week, 25k glimmer, one exotic per side). And their fixes are changing one grind for another and making encounters very linear ("either play it our way or don't play at all").
Most useless developer ever, they have no clue what makes a game fun, especially a game that should have plenty of story and variation, which Destiny has none of.
For not liking it so much you sure put a ton of time into this game. Just odd. I quit at level 24 when I realized I was not getting any higher level.

The point is the same as it was before. You need materials to upgrade your gear. Instead now, you don't have to spend tedious amounts of time to farm materials. I don't know how many you can buy with marks, but I still assume you'll have to farm some on planets to have enough to upgrade your gear.

They were at fixed times, with a logical distribution. Now they made them a lot harder to track, pretty much I have to look at the app, since things are different at every hour. Before I could look at the clock and know where the next event is. Not anymore!
Limits do kind of blow, I'll agree on that. But of course they do that so you can't power level too quickly. They want to stretch this game out in any way they can so you keep playing. They are a business after all. But regarding the public events. Don't know what you're complaining about. They happen a lot more frequently than before which I'm totally fine with.
