Rage187 and I just finished nightfall and let me tell you...it is the absolute worst mission I have ever played in this game. It's so ridiculous, not even fun. I don't even want to do it on my second character. I may do the weekly later on but man...
At least the drops were good. I got a Hawkmoon that goes to 331atk. Rage187 got a new exotic warlock helmet that goes to 36 light.
The hell man... You just got one of the best guns in the entire game...
Nightfall boss gave me Patience and Time on Nightfall. Not bad I guess since I missed buying it from Xur. We only wiped once, but definitely went slow and steady and camped a room or two. That fusion rifle they give you does pretty well.
Yup, I just got raid helmet to hit level 30 last week. Lo and behold, vanguard/crucible quartermasters have better armor for sale. D:Have all the gear, shards and mats to hit 31. Just need the XP

Yup, 302 base damage. Did a surprising amount of damage more than my maxed Prudence II arc sniper. I wanted Icebreaker, but this'll do.P&T was good for the nightfall and weekly as well. I have one at 300 and it wrecked when you had time to line up. We didn't wipe on nightfall because sunsinger kind of cheats that. Your P&T will be the newer upgraded one that starts higher than the old one capped. So you have one better than the one xur sold.
Also everyone, if you have multiple characters and do the story missions for Eris on each you get another Murmer each time. When you dismantle it you get the upgrade item "ruined core" which is required to upgrade Murmer. Normally it requires rank 3 from Eris to purchase.
It is also possible to get to level 31 from the following ways.
4 pieces of armor from vender. 33 light each
33 x 4 = 132 = Lv31
3 pieces of armor from vender and an upgraded exotic from Xur or obtained from a drop (exotic would be 36 light)
33 x 3 + 36 = 135 = Lv31
You could also use one VoG raid piece if you have to, but you sacrifice some defense
Which to me is kind of lame. How many hours did we spend in VoG to get 30? It would not be so bad if you had more of a skill tree and your level wasn't based on getting gear. Plus the Tiger Strikes, it's seriously retarded. It's different than not being able to access new stuff that's DLC only, they changed existing stuff to DLC only.
I haven't been this pumped for a game before it's release for long time. Look at my first posts at the beginning of this thread, I was expecting so much from this game. Even the Beta got me more pumped because I really enjoyed it and thought we'd have these huge world's to explore like they promised, so much to do, great story, but unfortunately what we got is very little content to grind over and over again, forced to play the game the way Bungie wants us to play, say that we have to play social when it's the least social MMO/FPS game made since the PS2 generation. Great for you guys that love this game but there's a reason why it didn't get the glowing reviews people were expecting, there's a reason why even players reviews are so polarizing. It just seems like they wasted the five years time they had developing this. You can tell that there's so much potential in this game, they could have had one of the best games in years. What the hell did they do with it? What the hell are they continually doing with it?

Correct and exotics from VoG apparently are still 300 cap from what I have been hearing. Still, the primaries that have elemental effects are good to have anyway. At least until you can find replacements.So, VoG doesn't give upgraded legendaries. Got an auto rifle last night on a quick runthrough for materials and it caps at 300. Lame. =(

I honestly didn't mind the exclusive strike, i like it more than the last exclusive strike. I'm also enjoying the level 26 playlist.
is it just me or did they remove the cryptarch engram reward from tiger strike and added it to the roc strikes?
They always topped at 323, or 328. It was the most powerful weapon in the game. But, my Bad Juju tops at 331 now. I thought it was getting an upgrade to like 348 or something, similar to how other exotics got a jump.
Perhaps, it is trade in only and the new version doesn't drop?

unfortunately for me all my current exotic bounty weapons are pre patch so they all top out at 300, I do have a few bounties that I haven't finished yet though.
This is correct. Vex had always topped at 300 until they buffed it to 323 a couple weeks ago.
