Well...nightfall shafted me for yet another week.


edit: I have never seen a more stingy drop in a raid ever. I got 2 shards after we finished Crota and it took us maybe 6 or 7 tries because we had a new 32 who was learning the sword timing. Took a couple hours to get through and really...that's all you give me? geeze. Also if someone calls boomer duty don't shoot them in the body! the guy on duty needs to hit head shots to stun lock them and also kill them without them putting up a shield. Can't believe how many times that happened.

my god...how hard is it when you say you can get boomers and we tell you only to shoot boomers on crota that you kill them in 2 headshots? Hitting them so they can put up shields and regen then run behind the wall does no good. I don't understand how complicated that really is.

Here's a tip for everyone. Don't call boomer duty if you can't get it right. They will kill everyone trying to DPS crota's shield. Don't waste your sniper ammo on anything else. Your job is to make sure any and all knights are cleared. DOn't tell me you are out of ammo on your Ice Breaker, that means you didn't do your job right. My second run for today was a failure because of this. Also people standing there after the swordbearer is dead not shooting crota. Again I don't understand how that is so complicated. Man I just wanna pull my hair out because of these guys who just act like they haven't a clue and they are decked out in full raid sets. Pisses me off. Another 2 hours wasted. I mean these guys didn't suck at all but they just didn't do anything correctly it seemed.

Maxed out ice breaker is a beast against the boomers. Headshot instakill. I was on a team where everyone had a galley except for me, so I took boomer duty and feasted on them. I think we completed the Raid in 35 mins with 0 cheese. I was hoping for arms so I can use my Saint 14 helm when needed, but ended up with another helm, boots, and ur yit lmg again.

Anyone else notice a change in the drop rate/quality after yesterday's patch? I got 2 legendary engrams yesterday (during patrol missions of all things), and 2 exotics (1 from the weekly and 1 from the VOG). Green and blues also seemed to be popping out much more frequently.

I only noticed the lack of actual loot from Crota raids. Besides some gloves and a Dragon's breath, everything was only dropping shards and energy. I'm hoping tonight things are better.

watching the Datto twitch stream of the hard raid.

On the lamps, lvl 33 thralls, yellow exploders. Yellow sword knights like during the Death Singer encounter. Yellow hallowed ogres.

Pulse rifle dropped when they completed. That's good that you can get weapons from the lamp encounter, thus get them solo.


BOOMERS on the bridge encounter. Unreal.

4 people got the auto rifle off the bridge encounter.

Crota has no chalice, yellow boomers now include witches. That gatekeeper sleeping on upper level from normal mode now comes out with swordbearer. Don't know gatekeepers purpose because Dattos team keeps wiping before ogres lol. Can't wait to try it.

Just did my first Nightfall. Got the exotic auto rifle Monte Carlo. I like it. The perk on it about reducing grenade CD or sometimes eliminating the CD on damage is pretty nice.

We've been on hd Crota for hours. Down to a sliver of health multiple times. And then he enrages and dumbasses shoot the oversoul instead of taking down Crotas shield for the final hit. Hours...

Heh...I finally did crota on normal with my second character. More shards...and a second hunger. So...basically garbage for me. Shards are ok but I do not want to hit 32 with my raid body piece. I want a helmet. The body piece is a full strength roll so I'll end up with 0% intellect, 26% discipline, and 100% strength. Not my preference when I currently have 21% intellect, 100% discipline, and 63% strength which lets me spam grenades like crazy.

I'm sitting on my shards until next week when hopefully I can get a helmet.

Did 2 quick Crota runs to hopefully get the alt to 32. I think I am 5 shards shy of fully upgrading all my armor. Not terrible I guess.

I swear, this is D3 all over again. Did my nightfall last night, and got another, for the nth damn time, Truth. I know people that have had 3 Gally's. This is just BS man. Same thing happens to me in D3. I keep getting Ren Ho, but never ever ever an SMK. I just started D3 again over last weekend, and got an ancient Ren Ho. Never ever seen an smk. They say it's RNG, but sometimes it feels like devs just wanna grieve us.

Not to mention, normal Crota this week gave me helm for the 3rd time and my 2nd boots. Still no arms that I want.
