Saw the trailer and I felt it was a bit overrated. I kinda enjoyed 6v6 and idk how every mode in 4v4 will go. I mean sure, Trials will be better but even Trials will not be available from start, or so I've read. Also, I think they showcased PC version on the demo because it's the only version with 4K+60FPS

I really enjoyed D1 and jumped in just after TTK was released. After checking the Timewasted website it shows I have about 2200 hrs into it. Although I'm excited for D2 i'll probably wait after the 2nd expansion to jump on board.

I bought the game thrice. First on PS4, then when I got locked because of House Of Wolves, I got it again on Xbox One Then again wen TTK came out and I was locked out of previous content, I skipped that year and bought the thing again next year after Rise Of Iron Came out.

I have 3 copies of the game also but because I had 2 sons and myself who wanted to play together. Still haven't preordered D2 though...

Will do Alamat. I've been on every once and again and just seem to miss you. Looking forward to killing more baddies in D2 with you!

It's a love-hate relationship between me and Destiny. Plan on getting D2 but I think it's better if I wait for Holiday or Black Friday sale because I suspect they might follow the same content/pricing route.

Looks like they posted someone going through the first mission of the campaign. Not sure how I feel about this. I enjoyed playing the first one well enough, but I do think it has the most forgettable story on a video game that I've played in some time. I remember grinding through the missions, but never once felt connected to any outcome. Prob because nothing i did really mattered. I had to keep grinding the same missions for bounties so it's not like i felt I accomplished anything. Multi was fun though, sadly I never could get enough of my friends together to do the Raids, and still think it was stupid that I couldn't just join random groups for it like other missions. Having watched the first mission, I'm still not sure it's enough to warrant the price of a new game. It just looks like it'll be the same.. grind and grind again..

Now that I built me a new Ryzen PC I'm on the fence about PC or Xbox for this game LOL..if it is any inclination of my past gaming habits, I'll have it on both

That's the biggest problem with Destiny, you need a steady group of people to play with. If you have it, it's great. If you don't, the game didn't make it easy to find your own group and forced you to go off the game to find a group which was always extremely stupid to me. There's been so many times on PC that I met cool people in game and ended up playing together with them for a long time. Destiny didn't want any of that.

Thing is I don't think the PC community will last. The first game was very console centric in terms of how it felt and how things worked that I don't think the appeal is there for the real hardcore PC gamers. I'm sure there will be a dedicated community but you have a better chance of getting people together on Xbox One or PS4 I think just due to the people who played or are playing the first game. Since the first game never released on PC there is no fan base to draw from.

Plus I've always found that games on PC die out quickly unless they are super competitive. Battlefield 1 even has a dwindling user base.

Yeah, I've been thinking of that as well. I mainly built my PC so I could get back into a few MMOs I used to play, RTS games, and Civilization. Plus, there are going to be quite a few play anywhere titles announced at E3 so who knows. I'm still on the fence about it though.

Mind if a PC user asks a few questions about Destiny?

I'm a cheapskate in both time and money. I'm intrigued by Destiny 2 as I did enjoy Halo (1) and, because I don't have a console, I've never tried the original game. Since I don't know many people who still play videogames, I'd rather not purchase a game that won't offer a decent experience when playing with strangers. I also don't like to buy games that are similiar to something I already own. With that in mind, my questions are:

Assuming that the game doesn't change that drastically from the first one, is Destiny worth it if you're going to end up playing with randoms (PvE and PvP)?

I've read messages that claim Warframe is actually a better game than Destiny. Is that just PC sour grapes because the first Destiny isn't on the PC or does that seem to be the conventional wisdom? I also already own the Division. Briefly, how much different is Destiny from that?

Thanks!

I played the first game with mostly ransoms but occasionally a few guys from here. I thought it was alright but the problem was you could not really search for people who want to do events easily in the game. You had to use websites outside the game for that to look for groups. I never played warframe. I also did not invest any time into pvp and I did not really like it much when I did. Destiny is somewhat like the division but I think the feel of destiny is better.

as someone who has like 2k+ hours into the first game playing 99% solo, yes i think it will be worth it. at most i had 1 RL buddy who I played with but not until mid Taken King. I played with dredd a lot as well, but besides those 2 people i pugged all the time for raids and PVP. some of the pugs became groups for short bursts (2-4 months at a time) but would come and go depending on what people were doing.

I'm considering getting part 2 and giving them a chance to show me what they learned from the mistakes. Not 100% but since it seems that most of the games I am interested in aren't coming until 2018 or later it will be something to play.

I preloaded the beta. Seeing if there's actually any difference between this and 1. If it's any easier to actually find someone to play with and not having to rely on 3rd party websites to play this. Have an Amazon pre-order so if I don't like it I can cancel it.

Sure hope so but I think Xbox live has some sort of way to find players. I see friends at times trying to form a group. Still not like LFG though.

Yeah some people were forming Playstation groups as a way to find players too.
