Nice, looks like a you're ready for the raid on Wednesday. I've been going hard this weekend. Worked in the morning and the whole rest of the day drank beer and played destinycome at me bro
Yea I don't like the new tower either too huge with nothing in between. Should have just stayed at the farm.Maybe it's me but I think the new tower while bigger, just has too much empty space.
I just read that, it is Legendary Shards.likely legendary shards
I think I just passed 240 power maybe... my armor is just a clusterf*** of nonsense that I've been trying to level out with various shaders but with mixed results.
I should be able to join in on the Nightfall. My aim has gotten significantly better since I first started on console. It's quite neat how your brain can just get used to and compensate for the inertia with the controls. I also really dig the lost sectors and how there isn't such an emphasis on doing the patrols over and over again.

i think it's fine... there were a TON of people on last night including a bunch of yahoos on the soccer field haha
farm wont be the only social area of the game in it's entirety either... i like it though and it looks cool with the giant shard in the distance
Yea, it's weird there are no replacements for cayde / ikora / zavala / gunsmith on the farm. Even a terminal to "contact" them or something... The farm is pretty useless afterwards... A quest or two after the main campaign and that's it.The farm seems useless after the story is finished. Some of the NPCs aren't even there and there are no replacements for them. They could decide to unlock various NPCs and place them there at some point though. Having two social spaces isn't a bad thing.
You get a sparrow for hitting lvl20, not for finishing the campaign. Once you hit lvl20, talk to the lady next to cryptoarch (evergreen or something?) and she'll give you 3 bright engrams as a reward. One of them will roll a legendary sparrow. You definitely want to finish the story as you get a sparrow and unlock lots of other stuff to make it easier to get better gear.

I don't know where I am in the story... just finished the one with the carrier at the end that you shoot with the tank. After that I tried to participate in as many public events and strikes as I could, trying to power up but I think I'm just about at 250. I keep getting decent weapons but I've only a few exotics. I really like how you can swap things around though and considering how many shaders I have I don't see the need to not use them up. I sort of figured the lost sectors were repeatable but also that they rewards would be limited. The ones on Titan are pretty cool, bit trickier to find.
Almost everyone on patrols is level 20 now with a Sparrow so the dynamic of the game has already shifted a little bit. The loot chests do time out but I'm not sure how I feel about being able to simply drop in for the last 30 seconds of a battle and potentially score just as well as the other players... or is that scaling so that that can't happen? Everyone just sort of blasts through the strikes now also, so I'm hoping the Nightfall ones are brutally difficult and force more teamwork. I'm constantly being left behind but I love how the game feels so I always look for fights.
yea but what I'm saying is that you could, at the very least, catch the very end of the public battle and not fire a single round and still have access to the loot. when I see players taking on challenges I don't think twice about joining in to help but a few times I was extremely late and the chest popped up right as I approached haha. felt like a vulture just taking the free stuff but hey I suppose it's all fair game.
I was just wondering if those players who were there the entire battle got much better stuff? that would be more fair imo but maybe i'm just thinking too much... it happens (all the time).
So I've only been playing for 2 days. I'm lvl 9. The game seems more difficult (enemy wise) compared to D1. Also, respawns happen super fast. All I"ve done are a couple missions, a public event (heroic got a exotic engram), and been farming two spawns on the first area of earth. The public event was a walker fight on earth...Bumped to heroic (6 of us) spawned another walker and we took it down.
Any recommendations? Also, I'm on XB1 or I'd be playing with a bunch of you.
For having been through some really horrible weather and no power, you sure as hell leveled up fast. I'm barely at ~250 power. That I don't know but I assume it takes that into account somewhat when it does the "dice roll" for loot drops. I just hit 270 (power came back on while I was doing yard cleanup and I hopped online when I was done) and completed the nightfall. The nightfall was pretty fun but very hectic. There are a lot of parts you can basically skip that we had to learn as we went and being lucky on the burn modifier when I had the correct damage type loaded up.
