Official Detonator 3 driver version 12.41 is on NVIDIA's website!!!!!!!!

NVIDIA posted Detonator 3 drivers version 12.41 on their website. Yes I know many of you have 12.60 but I thought you might want to know this.

Edit: New additions include DirectX 8 support, better support for Athlon and P4 processors. Also, they have added Stereo support in a separate file on the same page and Maxtreme drivers for 3D Studio Max are now available for all NVIDIA cards under Windows 2000 and NT4. Since these drivers are WHQL drivers, there is no support for the TNT cards. I also checked the .inf file and there doesn't seem to be support for the TNT2 Ultra video cards (althought TNT2/TNT2Pro are still listed).

Sugadaddy; LOL! I agree wholeheartedly. NVidia releases official drivers like once a year.

They also added stereo drivers for the NVIDIA cards. The only problem is that the newer drivers are WHQL so they don't support the TNT cards. Not like I have to worry about that anyways.

Anyone notice an improvement over the 12.0 drivers like maybe higher scores or fps? Also does the coolbits overclock stay fixed when rebooted or restarted this time?

Doesn't matter cause any drivers over 12.00 wont work with novell and w2k.

Well well well- finally some 1x.xx drivers that are certified by Microsoft's WHQL nazi test labs. Seriously though, its not like they're gonna offer better performance just because they're "Official." Which drivers do you guys think actually have the best performance?

P.S. What drivers do I use for a 3d prophet II mx- geforce 2 mx 100/200, or geforce 2 mx 400?

Well, after several server disconnects and a lousy download speed, I was finally able to finish downloading the 12.41s.

it's nice to see nvidia finally make an official 12.xx driver. it will be a good boost for those people who have been using the 6.50's because they were official. personally, i always use beta's (at least beta nvidia drivers) and i like the 12.60's better...

What is the correct procedure when updating video drivers? I've heard that I need to delete all files with a special extension? I've running teh 12.40's right now, so I guess I'll update to the 12.41's.

I haven't seen any benchies or posts of results yet, so I guess I'm the first!

I Dl'd and installed the 12.40 WHQL drivers.

Essentially, no gain. However, I don't know if it's my imagination or not, but things do look &quot;smoother&quot;. Things onscreen seem to &quot;flow better&quot; Does that make any sense. I read on NVidia's site that these drivers are optimized of DX8, which is what I'm running right now (DX8a, actually). So maybe I really am seeing a difference.

We all know that results vary widely from system to system, but at least I didn't lose any performance as I did w/those horrible 10's. All the 10's were suck on my system. Oh my God. I said &quot;were suck&quot;...I've been hangin' here too long!

How do you enable overclocking with these 12.41s, coolbits won't work.
