Tell me about it! I wait and wait for a "newer and better" driver set to come out, and it's the SOS. I stopped updating with the release of every new Beta with version 11.00. Now, they come out with some new WHQL drivers, which we all know, if it's got "WHQL" stamped on it, it's the schiznit. So I throw 'em in there. Bah. Oh well, it honestly looks slightly smoother.

It's the same driver that was leaked several weeks ago. In 6 months time the 1260 driver will probably become official.

Try using NVMax to work the coolbits.

I tried installing the new drivers, but it was no better than my old ones. When I was playing counter-strike, I noticed a dramatic FPS drop from about 71 to 37. When i turned off the vertical sync in my vid. settings, i usually get a solid 99fps at 1024x768, but with the new drivers, that also dropped down to a solid unwavering 59.

I went from the 6.31 drivers. I found OpenGL performance the same, 3DMark2001 (DX8) went up 200Marks but 3DMark2000 (DX7) dropped over 300Marks!

Is this normal for 12.xx series?
