Yep, in the BIOS options, set the CPU fan temp as low as it will go. I forget what this is because it wouldn't do anything for me anyway since I'm using a 120mm fan plugged into the PSU. Either way, unless you are in a very cool environment, it will always stay on.

Woah!! Nice job

Is that FSB the highest you could boot into windows with or the highest completely stable FSB you could hit?

ok, here are my 2cents.
i have been doing a little resarch all day today, and for the questions i know answers to:

///The best overclocking Memory i found to work in this board is OCZ Value VX - i had it Oc'ed to PC490 Stable at 2.5-2-2-7 *the memory voltage needed to be turned up to 3.5 - 3.6V for best OCZ OC*(OCZ are the best over clockers for this Board: OCZ Value VX is best performance"PC490" to price, and in second is the OCZ Premier "PC480*, and for about 200$ Canadian OCZ "Gold BH5" which over clocked to PC 560

///The new AMD Athlon X2 4200+ - X2 4800+ (duelcore) work in this board with the newest bios.

///the Best Memory OC'ing are actually done in the orange 2 - 4 memory slots

///For SLI stability, stick with AMD, SLI Intel Boards are rather buggy, and crash rather often(due to heat, and bios updates/revisions)

Just picked one up today and a 3000+ venice.
Hoping I can get to 2.4ghz+ to outshine my 2500@3200 right now.
Sadly Im on OCZ 2x512 3200 Perf RAM at 3336

don't worry about the ram; I'm on corsair value select right now. The ram speed does very little to actually limit your speed and nothing to hamper your OC if you sue a divider.

to get optimal performance from over clocking, the processr must match Ram 1:1 to get optimal performane, and slow value ram will cause a bottle neck. and if you are looking into memory, and looking for great value, look into OCZ Value VX series, which on the DFI nForce4 board can be overclocked to PC 490(stable), on air cooling

wrong. On an A64, you will see nearly no performance drop from running your ram slower than the FSB. Check out Zebo's memory matrix at the top of teh CPU/Processors/Overclocking forum. It shows that.

P4's are another matter; they get a large performance boost from running the memory faster.

hey I am thinking about buying DFI lan party SLI-DR matherboard, but I am not sure will my RAM be in conflict with the MBO I mean to buy Kingmax 2x 512MB PC-3500 DDR 433MHz and a gainward ultra/2400 tv/dvi gs 6800GT card...and there is one thing left....will the SLI bridge that camed with lan party SLI-DR MBO be enough to conect two VGAs that I will buy, will I have enough space to add another card not to be in conflict like that Leadtek 6800GT card?please help

Just wondering if anyone could give me some input on the new parts I have comming this week. I'v read a bit about the DFI mobo, but not quite sure what would be the best setup for this :

AMD Athlon 64 3200+ 2.0 Ghz BOXED "Venice"
Creative SB Audigy 2 ZS
LANPARTY UT NF4SLI-D ATX/S-ATA/Dual-GB-LAN/8ch-LYD/1394/
Hitachi Deskstar T7K250 250GB SATA2 8MB 7200RPM NCQ x 2
MSI GeFORCE 6800GT 256MB PCIe Retail 256MB DDR 3 / 256-bit TV-out/DVI
OCZ 500 1024 ELDCGEVX-K PC-4000 512MB x 2 (2-2-2-8) 500Mhz
OCZ ModStream PSU 520W

The plan is ofcourse to get the cpu as high and stable as possible. Also planning to add another GFX card for the SLI. Any input is much appriciated.

The only ram that I know doesn't work with this board is Kingston HyperX, so I would assume that ram will work. The sli bridge that comes with the board will connect any two cards that fit, and the only cards that don't fit are the leadteks.

I hope so, I have yet to read any problems with the different parts I have ordered vs the mobo, though I have read some post regarding the option to set the V on the RAM higher, that it's currently not possible to get it above default 3.2V on the mobo. Is this issue fixed in a bios update?

Huh? To set it higher than 3.2v you first need to move a jumper on the board. However, you really don't need to use anywhere near that many volts unless you have BH-5 or CH-5 (UTT) based memory.

Well, I am not that good that i know what you mean CheesePoofs but this is the memory I have ordered:
http://www.ocztechnology.com/products/m...cz_el_ddr_pc_4000_dual_channel_gold_vx

A friend of mine said they migh need to get a bit more Voltage to be able to OC's them and for RAM I am quite the "n00b" however, should I not need it, it's all joy. Though OCZ says it runs on 3.3V normally, I guess thats what he meant when he said I would need to push it up a bit on the VDIMM.

Though I did read a confusing post on DFI, regarding PSU's that are recomended for SLI setups and non-sli setups : http://www.dfi-street.com/forum/showthread.php?t=10854
and the PSU I am going to buy didn't seem to make it on the list of SLI setups? though the tests I have read about it shows it should be sufficient enough?

thanks for the answers so far though
