- 5 character classes
my prediction is the already announced barb (melee physical) and witchdoctor (hybrid caster) with a ranged physical class like the amazon, a direct damage spell caster like the sorc, and probably a support melee like the paladin. The witch doctor seems to have consumed the role of the necro and druid

- storyline set 20 years after D2

- there will be both a single player and multiplayer option

- multiplayer is phrased as coop over bnet as in d2 (not mmo) but more details are needed

- obviously no release date even speculated by blizz ("it's done when it's ready")

Hmm, not sure how I feel about the graphics. They're not bad, and in some parts even nice, but I don't really like the way people/creatures look. I do like all the extra effects and enemies onscreen, so that's good.

I kinda hate to say it, but it looks like Titan Quest. It's not that Titan Quest looked bad, its just I was kinda hoping for something different. I'll get over it I'm sure, especially seeing it in action, let alone playing it.

What is the deal with the download managers needed to download the videos? To make it worse you need a different one for each one?

Ok, watched the videos directly on their site (although they're a bit small). Looks awesome, and all my fears are allayed for the time being.

So...Blizz went from having hardly anything on the horizon less than a year ago, to announcing sequels to all their major IP's. That kinda worries me, they take long enough to release a game when it is the only one they are working on, how long is it going to take them to do so when they are working on 3 at a time.

They're been working on Starcraft 2 since 2003 and I'm sure Diablo 3 has at least a couple of years into it. Besides, they're a huge company and have a team for each franchise.

Yep, its not like they have only 15 people who are working on all the games at once. They've got teams dedicated to each game.

I feel the same way about this as I do about Starcraft II. It looks like little more than a graphical overhaul with a few new features. I'm more excited about D3 than SC2 because I never really played SC; but I'm still not too heavily thrilled. I'll buy it without a doubt, but I'm not sure it'll be all too great. I'm not sure if it can live up to the years of expectation.

still downloading the cinematic/artwork trailers.. gameplay trailer will not download for some reason, still at 0%

It was really a tounge in cheek remark in regards to blizzards "its released when its finished" philosophy. Quite aware they have multiple teams that work on seperate projects, and i'm sure they have several projects they do not even tell us about.

Also these 3 projects are at least each a year apart from each other. At least this gives us a good timeline, wotlk -> sc2 -> d3. Once they release wotlk you know sc2 is about a year behind, and d3 is a year behind that. Think that would be the most information we've ever had about a blizzard release date.

I'm looking at the gameplay trailers, and I don't know what to think. On one hand, it looks kinda cool, on the other hand, it looks like every single RPG since ever.

I like the art concepts though, they're good making a game's color scheme look epic.

Just want we need . . . another mindless hack and slash game. At least its 3D this time around, and should, in theory, support more resolutions than 6x4 and 8x6 as well as WS resolutions.

I loved Diablo 1 and never got into Diablo 2. This one will depend on the storyline and environment. If it's just linear hack and slash it's nothing more than Dungeon Siege or Titan Quest.
