Also, Blizzard recently purchased the Diablo3.com domain from a D3 fan site now called diablofans.com
man that was a while ago... 6 months or so?
More like 2-3 months.
I gotta get me some Diablo 3 wallpaper so I can be reminded that's it coming every time I'm at my computer
I have really played out Diablo II...and it pissed me off that they deleted all my characters. You have to login every 30 days to keep them active. Boo. I had some 1337 stuff...0.8 arkane's and a 0.8 perfect Windforce. Actually I think the Arkane's disappeared, but still had the Windforce
Probably still stuff I haven't done in Diablo II. Didn't they make a Super Diablo appear in act 1 or something? Also aren't there lots of really unique monsters no one hardly ever sees? Heck I dunno...
Man I wanna play again too now - I haven't played online in forever. Such a pain in the arse to get all the good items. Ahhh let's get together and play. I've actually never played as an Assassin, and only played the Druid class last year. Why I took so long to get around to those I don't know, I've had the expansion since it came out.

How long after the release of D3 do you think it will take for bots and dupes to become mainstream? 9 months?

You'll have at _least_ 6 months to play with SC2 before D3 is out, SC2 is coming in december, I can't imagine D3 even reaching beta before next summer, and i'd hit at possibly a Q4 2009 release, knowing blizzard it could even stretch into early 2010 though

The Blizzard Store was just updated, making the Diablo 2 and Diablo 2: Lord of Destruction client available for digital download. If you already own the games and wish for digital copies, simply create an account at the Blizzard Store and register your CD-keys. The titles are both on sale for a small price of $19.99 each.

Watched the trailer and demo from the main webpage. Played smooth and looked pretty neat. If one hasn't played D2 in awhile (like I bought the expansion but never installed it), where would be a good page to read up about current strategies.

Also looks like you can now forgot about worrying where you D2 CDs are, as long as you have the keys.

That's pretty cool. I've got the media, but would rather just download them digitally instead of reinstalling from that.

If it had an item bind system dupes would be pointless, and trading would be alot more balanced, so I hope they look into that

Soulbound items would turn the economy in WoW's, not Diablo 2's.

I did that earlier. I can't play online though, it says the CD-key used was not the original or something and to use the original (?), does it both for Battle.net and OpenBattle. I didn't check to see if they have anything in their FAQs about it, so they might already be aware.

I've never played WoW but I've played lots of other MMORPGs and RPGs. Diablo doesn't really have anything similar to them besides the fantasy motif. You basically run around like a God and satisfy your primal hunter-gatherer needs. One huge difference is that you aren't reliant in Diablo on other players like with an MMO although it can be a lot of fun to play with friends. The bad part is that it can be repetitive. You basically run through the same game with randomized dungeon differences over and over. I don't know if this will change in D3 or not.
The gameplay trailer summed it up nicely, giving a nod to items being the most important aspect of the game. You basically run around and add more bling to your toon, which Blizzard has clearly paid close attention to with armor/weapon visuals. It looks like they've definitely improved upon the strategy aspects and character skill development, which is certainly welcome also. Boss fights look more dynamic and varied, and even normal mob encounters look to add numerous twists.
