I played a lot of Diablo 2 LOD 1.04-1.08...in its hayday, loved it.

This is actually pretty much what I wanted from D3, it's fun, same style game I expected.

I also played it at blizzcon in 09, loved it then, and during the beta, and open beta.

I've got a wiz at 31, demon hunter at 22, and a barb around 26.

Hmm MF is shared? So if four people have 25%, your group has a 100%? Or whoever has the highest MF provides it to the whole group? Player one has 28% MF, so the whole group has 28%? Thanks!!

It takes an average. So if the four of you have a combined amount of 40 MF total, then your MF is 10. (40TMF/4players = 10MF)

OOo nice I didn't know that. Good to know when your inventory is full but your party wants to continue zerging on through the bosses non-stop so I know what to drop and what to pick up.

OMG!!!!! Are you gaming with my son and his GF?
Man, thats ALL they do. they are two screen rolls ahead of me and I hear over skype "Ummm, where's the Barbarian?".
Cripes, I'm over here looking at loot for Pete's sake.......

This is probably a dumb question but is there any way to filter auctions by the amount of time that's left on them?

Some filters dont seem to work, AH overall still a bit flakey to use...that game needs some addons

Why are you guys wasting your time on this game? It's a total faliure. Dont believe me? check out the reviews on Amazon. I am currently playing Path of Exile beta right now. Much better than Diablo III.

Welp, guess that's that. I will be uninstalling as soon as I get home. Thanks to Amazon, I would not have known how much D3 sucked through all the fun I was having.

Halfway through A1 Inferno now; 60 Wizard with 13k dps and 23k life.

At this point the game is showing just how bad all the fixes Blizz made to things that were not broken. Elites outside require 5 minutes of kiting. Elites inside require game restarts when you get something stupid like "Fast Mortar Waller Jailer Arcane Enchanted".

I spend more time trying to survive then actually playing and having fun.

Yes I know Inferno is supposed to be hard, but the difficulty comes simply from elites with tough properties. No matter how good you are, luck plays a huge role in what properties elites have... get something nasty and simply reload the game.

There really is no need to look at stuff when you pick it up. Just wait till your pack is full. I dont really bother looking at the stats for the blues unless the hover over shows green for dam/health, then I'll give it a closer look. Other than that, its just vendor trash. Also the only things I immediately ID are ring/amulets. I've been lucky so far and found some nice rings and an amulet. Trying to find good ones from the AH is a huge PITA since the +damage stat filter doesn't seem to work properly. Although at higher levels +damage isn't the godsend it was at the lower levels.

In all seriousness, if (IF!) people played through Act II, Act III and further, and looking at the game genre itself and the TONS of fun you can have in that game...most of the "reviews" are an utter joke. I already voiced my own opinion multiple time, incl. amazon and metacritic.

This includes the entirely uncalled for and idiotic claims about how sh!tty the graphics supposedly are, voice acting supposedly bad etc.... (aside from the usual raging about "DRM").

Looking at the game *right now* i can not see how the graphics, animations, spells etc. could be better (because they are rather great)...and the voice acting (while cheesy at time) matches the genre very well too.

After initially being somewhat disappointed, the game now seems VERY polished to me, having TONS of fun which made the investment worthwhile. While not "perfect" (which game, by the way, is "perfect"?) Blizz did a good job with that game.

Found a perfect rare amulet today for a wizard, can't wait to bank on that. Ton of Int, nice chunk of Vit, dmg to monsters that hit, and a socket. Oh yes, I will make bank with this

You dont have nearly enough health, and probably not enough damage resist. Just sayin

I just finished norm and tried out NM. Im going back to norm, lmao

Just buy gear in the AH to deck yourself out. NM is a walk in the park still. I'm near the end of Act 3 NM and have died less then I did in normal lol (which has been 3 times so far in NM)

Well, I understand about the graphics even if I don't agree how important that is. The game looks great as long as you're not zoomed in and taking a good look at the textures etc (i.e. they look good when you're playing), but the textures are pretty low res. Actually, you can easily see it when you're at the character select screen...they could be better. I won't take a guess at how much higher res textures would affect the action, but Blizzard *could* have added the option. My GTX 470 runs most of the game just fine with max settings @ 1920x1200, but I've seen slowdown in a couple of indoor areas with tons of effects going on.

because its not a total failure, the amazon reviewers much like the metacritic reviews have no idea what they are talking about and rate the game a 1 without even playing it or simply because they had some server issues on day 1

Agreed, it is not a total failure.

I have my reservations about certain elements or decisions that were made in the development of the game, but after playing it for 2-3 hours, I find it to be just as Addicting as the previous two.

I feel that the graphics are good and appropriate for the current generation of games. I find that the combat and advancement are consistent with the type of game it is and with previous iterations of the franchise. And I think that (other than the day one game breaking bug) it is solidly coded.

the down side (in my view) is of course the always online causing latency and unnecessary crashes. And a number of the decisions were clearly different directionally with an eye more on addictiveness rather than fun (having to Buy space in the storage locker, having to pay to upgrade the Blacksmith).

Considering I've got more than 23k hp at 52 you're probably right. As far as damage resist, are you talking about physical resistance or armor or both?

I'm in act 3 in NM mode and haven't died yet... came close a few times. Oddly enough, the ones that almost did me in is when I stood in the pool of green poison fighting those trees. And the other times I almost died is when I just stood still smashing away at the blue pack that had some immune shield up. So pretty much any near deaths was stupidity on my part for being too lazy to GTFO the way.

Just started on Saturday (glad I was out of town for the launch as it sounds like it was a pain). Level 33 or so DH in A1 NM. I'm having a blast.

Why are you even wasting your time posting in this thread if it is such a waste of time? Time waster.

The dude's last couple of posts were about how crappy the game is because he can't ninja people's loot and PK random noobs, so he's griefing players the only way he can find to do it.

Hit 60 last night on my Demon Hunter, and have most of Hell done. Going to finish up Diablo tonight and move onto Inferno.

I did get my first legendary last night in Act 4 Hell, Wormwood a lvl 59 Caster staff, with the stats i got on it had a socket and the 3rd highest dps for them on the AH, was worth the wait.

I love the game people that say it is to easy wait till you are in Hell mode and run into a champion pack with invunlable minions, let alone many other combos.

Yeah you have to be online to play it. All character info, inventory, and all game-processing is done server side. So it will *likely* never be "fixed" so you can play it offline.

agree, I am having tons of fun right now ... I hope they do not nerf inferno, it should be hard.
