i was introduced to the azmodan "exploit" last week. ran it a few times then i just continued playing solo. wasnt nearly as cheesy and i leveled just fine. all it takes is keeping up with gear in the AH. the thing is if you wanna exploit go right ahead, in the end it gains you nothing really.

nope i'm at work, i'll be power leveling or farming once off.

once you level a toon to 25, you can then port them to nightmare and level them quicker, as you get 88k per azmodan run.

i didn't expect it to gain me anything but time. like i said i already grinded legit to my level 60 wizard, i didn't feel like doing it all over again to get to the higher levels.

first play thru in normal, i explored every inch of every zone to enjoy the game. in NM/HELL i just head straight to objectives. and in inferno, i'll just be farming for good loot.

there is nothing IMO wrong with it if its deemed not an "exploit" people power leveled chars in D2 all the time, they just went about it in a different way because of how the XP system worked.

Is that without or without the exploit? At 25 its lower exp then that since the exp scales, i did 25 to 40 on it last night. at 40 i get 36k of the 44k or so max now, at 25 i think its around 15k/15k and whatever the first boss in act 4 is.

i dunno if it's an exploit as you can farm diablo all day also for xp.

Not calling that a exploit, i leveled my demon hunter to 60 the same way you did your mail also.

There is a "exploit" where you can leave and join a game and turn in more then one quest on him where people are getting 3-4x more exp for the loop that you and i run.

My experience is completely different from yours. I actually thought the nephalim valor stack dropped when you died, so I was being super careful and got it up to 3 stacks before dying and realizing death didn't hurt.

I also did some grouping with some friends playing a barb and witch doctor, and while it was a bit harder we cleared act 1 through skeleton king fine with no major issues- maybe 2 spawns the whole way that gave us enough trouble that we wiped more than once.

To dispute a few common myths about inferno:

Most mobs in inferno don't 1-shot anyone. Regular white mobs hit my demon hunter for about 10k, given my 40k hp it's not that bad. A few specific mobs do hit hard enough to 1-shot (dark berzerker, charging rhino things), but they are the minority.

Bosses are actually easier than the rare packs, and not a problem at all.

You don't need to kite everything, my barbarian friend is fine for killing most mobs in melee.


The rumors of inferno's impossibles have been greatly exaggerated.

Wait til you get halfway or so through A2 Inferno. The difficulty ramps up hugely.

A1 Inferno I can solo, but again, if any elite in my way has a tag like Mortar, it's an instant restart for me. I can't stand within the mortar range, because the elite steps forward and kills me, and I refuse to spend 10 minutes kiting while my hydra kills them. There simply is no other way around this for a wizard...

The Lacuna Huntress in A2; I can Fraps a video of them one-shotting me with Diamond Skin on if you really don't belive it. Over 35k damage instantly from them jumping out of the sand. My Templar merc with 60k life dies in under 5 seconds vs elite packs here also.

The multiplayer is impossible I think because it's so new... I see tons of players with 298 dps weapons in Inferno games; which means they do not contribute to killing (not enough to notice anyway). My friends are all happy in nightmare with their second characters, so if you had a friend that works hard, then yes, Inferno is possible... but don't ever expect anything from a pub game.

My WD is 38 right now and nobody to help me out. I already have a 60 Barb so PL is nice. My DH is next to level. He is level 8 right now.

haha that's pretty awesome about the exploit. i just read about it. easy way to get 4x-15x xp. need to power level my monk to 60, then DH.

So where are you going to power level? How are you doing it? You need two accounts or something? Anyone feel like teaming up and doing it?

Also, did you see? Theres a D3 power leveling website service. They chargel ike $280 to power level peoples new accounts with a cd-key from 1-60. lul. i guess its like you buy D3 and they power level you an account lol.

Well, that is a bit different from what your other post indicated. You made it sound like inferno is ZOMG IMPOSSIBLE, while your post here makes it sound like there are a few really hard fights but the rest of it is doable.

I will be the first to admit a few individual mob types might need tweaking, maybe some affixes are a bit too strong, but I don't think for a moment that inferno is "impossible", especially given how long the game has been out. The things that seem super hard and annoying now will be much easier once you upgrade all your gear to inferno level stuff with proper affixes.

is there even run/walk in D3, i think its all at 1 speed unless you have + runspeed items

I bought a second account to go with my collector edition. More bank space, can list 10 more auctions a day, and i let me my GF's kids play together when they are there since i have 2. My DH is 60, so powerleveling the other account, when its done i will powerlevel some guys on my main account with my new monk.

$60 is a lot for extra bank space plus the ability to list 10 more auctions , but I guess some people really like to power level, I don't get it but to each his own.

Here's something I haven't figured out yet since I've been entrenched in the game for the last week, are female classes different than their male counterparts in any way besides appearance? I figure they have to throw in a few minor differences at least.

Also I've played with every kind of class/gender multiple times but have only seen one female witch doctor - I guess fem WDs are the least popular by far. Haven't seen many fem barbs either, muscle-y women are gross in most peoples eyes though (including mine) so I understand that.

No definately serious...lol I get about 1-1.5 hrs a day to play after our 2 yr old is in bed before my overnight shift with our newborn starts. I could have sworn in D2 you could hold shift with WASD let you run faster. Maybe I'm wrong.

I've read that Barbs are the weakest end game class

Monks recently had a skill hotfixed though which nerfed them so I don't know which is better now, but I've also read that melee in general is weak end game

I'm pretty sure there is no toggle to walk/run in D3. whatever movement rate you have is your run speed

Normal running in D2 was terribly slow. Which is where boots came in. Get 30-4% run speed and you run like a banshee.

I have not seen boots in D3 yet that really give a big increase to run speed.

I've only been able to play ~5 nights so far, I just beat Skeleton King last night and I'm loving the game. I would say the omission of the WASD controls for movement with the mouse for attacks is one option I wish for. I started a Wizard up to L7 and the precision clicking is annoying...no half asleep game time or I run myself into mobs inadvertently.

I gotta say, I'm pretty pissed about Smoke Screen being nerf'd by half its time down to 1 sec and 1.5 sec with rune. I've found that when I do need to use it is to get out of a big mess, mainly when I get vortex'ed in or a big AOE thing goes off right on me. With the new time nerf it doesn't help much get out of a pack that vortex's me in half the time and I take a tick or two of the AOE now.
