I honestly dont know how all these people are getting accounts supposedly "hacked" but, it does seem odd. There are tons of complaints about it on the bnet forums. I dont know. It just seems odd and unlikely to me that there is some exploit in the game to somehow gain access to peoples accounts. I would guess its people getting keylogged on certain sites or something. I dont know though.
The thing that separates these "hacks" from WoW's is, even people with authentictors have gotten hacked in D3
Unless there's a new update, Blizzard stated that there has been no confirmed compromise of accounts with authenticators attached at the time of the compromise.
It's true that some people have claimed that their accounts were compromised and they have authenticators attached, but it turns out they attached their authenticators after their accounts were compromised.
Well, not to spread rumors or anything, but some people on bnet have claimed the hacking issue is from being on bnet actually. I guess it has to do with the session id info or something. Its happening to people with authenticators because its happening after they are logged in, not before. What they said on the forums was to not play in any public games with anyone you dont know because they can exploit some bug with the session id or something to gain access to accounts without needing a password. Dont know if any of this is true of course but...
I didnt really want to say this on a public forum just in case this is how they are exploiting it but...
AH down for you guys?
Nope, I was suggesting a small change that would benefit the economy. It will keep things moving on the gold AH.
When the RMAH goes live it will be interesting to see how the gold AH does.
Wait you will be able to buy gold? If you choose to sell your gold, I'm assuming it goes into a large pool where buyers will be able to buy gold at a set price.
If that's the case.. wouldn't everyone get paid?

welp... just beat the skeleton king on my first run through with my trial. It was easy. too easy. Even for normal it was easy. but then i guess the Monk is pretty strong.
Dont know if i want to toss down $60 for this though. 2 mechwarrior games loom on the horizon and they're free...
Man, the loot in D3 sucks ass
Just doesn't feel right. And what's up with getting items way below your level, I don't get that shit!
I would of been fine with the exact same Diablo 2 game with a touch up in the graphics and self loot without the whole skill, stat system change. Items don't have that added flavor, feels too plain. I'm probably just not a fan of the whole DPS scaling instead having flat damage and many customizations with stats added from the items.
Am I the only one who feels this way?
No, the loot system is horrid. I'm lucky if I get an item that is the level I actually am. I have never gotten a single item that was higher level than me either. As it is, I've seen blues at the same level that blow away legendaries, that is just wrong on so many freaking levels. There is no cool effects on the loot, it is soooo blah.
The loot system in this game feels like they tried to copy Borderlands system, have 20837823209290348234 different items by having it all randomized. The thing is, with Borderlands, there wasn't a bunch of different stats to mix up so finding a new weapon for your character wasn't very difficult. In D3 they try to make it so each stat has some effect on your character, but in reality no Wizard (for ex) is going to be like, oh awesome this staff has str instead of more int or vit!

Loot in D2 was a lot more "fun". I'm disliking the loot right now - all upgrades come from the AH (from OTHER people who play further ahead of me) which I consider as broken gameplay.
I'd be happy if someone could educate me on some basics
My monk plows through everything, the barb also (he's just low level).
However, the Demon Hunter and Wizard - I LOVED my bowazon and like any ranged "artillery" class, but does their gameplay consist only of kiting, kiting and more kiting? My lowbie wizard seems to have NO vitality at all, a couple of hits and he's dead. In D2 a sorc was fragile but could take a few hits.
