took me forever to beat Inferno Belial solo on my Witch Doctor, but I eventually did it

I actually liked the fight though. one of the few fights that felt like a gear & skill check in D3.

my WD's damage feels so poor in A3 though, and she's at 28K. getting really tempted to just go all out glass cannon and stacking tons of Int gear + whatever random stats the gear has. WD has ~1.2K Int. using AH to try to find max Int rolls on gear, looks like max Int is 2K+ so there's plenty of stacking I can potentially do.

A3 stuff already 1-2 shots me with 30K HP and 400 Resist.

So I havn't played anything other that solo at all.. I have a guy with the name 'gxw' on my 'recently played' list. I'm betting he's got my stolen equipment. I wish Blizzard would get their heads out of their asses and try to trace/actually do some detective work on this stuff.

edit: he has 9 lvl 1 characters all with random letters for the usernames.

You should never have to restart a quest's progression... at least not that I've ever seen. You may end up in a different spot when you log back in, but you'll usually have the same quest parts completed.

However, if you join a public game or adjust which quest you're starting on, you may screw yourself over as that seems to have preset parts of a quest that you can choose to start on. So, when you go to set your actual progress point, you won't necessarily be as far as you were.

I'm getting frustrated with group games.
As I'm not physically in Europe (but close - Israel) my ping is quite high at all times, around 250-600 with constant stutters, sometimes it is simply unplayable.
This is FAR higher than what I get in other games, like WoT, WoW and even diablo 2 was smooth ages ago.
Single player is fine but then half of the fun goes away. They already killed the other half by removing the old chat rooms and ability to make named games.

Its not challenging, just stupid and annoying to farm gear when having another 500 vit (17500 health) will maybe let me not get 1-2 shotted or with force armor 3 shot.

I have 80-90 ping @ morning
and 150-200 at night, But the same as morning , no lag at all ...
Just like world of warcraft , the ping is high but without lag compared to morning ping ...

But, While playing in puplic , i noticed a bit lag... seems the puplic servers are laggy ..

I bet the problem @ Bnet side , because my ping is 55-60 in European servers in all other games...

I just cleared Act1 inferno last night,
I didnt success to kill The Butcher with 1Hand and a shield it took me alot of time, and its seems that if you dont kill him on time you will die anyway by the lava on the ground , all squares will burn with lava, so you have no place to hide or even heal your self ...

But here what... I killed him with 2Hand weapon "Without a shield"...

For me , its "Killed Mob with more DMG and less Defense is better than More Defense and Alive Mob" Because in inferno, after a few seconds you will die anyway, so you better KICK his A** Fast !

Hover over the stats in your character page. Basically Vitality is for life, and intelligence is for your damage as a WD.

Not sure if any other Barbarian players noticed... well I don't even know if it's related to that skill specifically, but almost each time I swing (with whatever weapon I have) with Cleave at maybe 3 or 4 mobs at once I then get a "delay" in the actual swing's animation AND the resulting hit(s) on the mob(s) I swung at. I'm not sure if I should use the word "lag" for that case, the thing is EVERYTHING else on-screen happens smoothly and responsively, while the actual ping color is green.

If I do anything else, like clicking on a weapons rack, or just doing one single Cleave swing at some rocks or a tree trunk, or if I click on any vendor or try to craft something - anything else - happens responsively. There's no "lag" per se as far as I can tell. But for some reason I can't figure out it looks like as soon as I Cleave at any group of enemies, during the fight at some point (usually very soon after I swing a few times, maybe 2 or 3 swings at most) the swing animations AND the mobs losing health after the hits "land" on them is delayed by approximately one second.

I'm having a hard time even just describing the issue with words, it's only clear when you see it happen... IF anyone else had that happen to them before? Visually speaking, it's comparable to the type of "lag" we sometimes get when our character "rolls back" a few meters because our Follower is stuck somewhere and can't move on, "preventing" your own character in turn to move anywhere past a certain "radius" away from the stuck Follower (while everything AROUND both of you and the Follower isn't lagging).

I hope that Blizzard is even aware of that, it's a very curious issue, and so far I've only seen it happen when using Cleave on my Barbarian. I've tried with other skills and I don't think I've seen the problem with anything else... or maybe I missed it.

I'm looking for good monk builds if anyone would like to share.

left click = deadly reach w/ keen eye OR crippling wave w/ variety of runes depending on group or solo
right click = sweeping winds w/ blade storm OR lashing tail kick w/ sweeping armada OR cyclone strike w/ 34 yard rune
1/2/3 = defensive cooldowns, pick your poison. i use serenity/heal blind/30%dmg and heal/15% dmg
4 = mantra of evasion w/ hard target for solo, mantra of conviction w/ 24% dmg for group, mantra of retribution w/ IAS if i'm just running with a decked out DH

passives for solo = seize (100% dex = armor), transcedence, and one with everything
passives for group = seize, resolve, and one with everything
passives if buffing ranged = chant of resonance, guiding light, and one with everything


solo play in a2 inferno is doable if you play smart. pull small groups of mobs and stack TONS of armor and resists for effective HP.
